Trouble in Paradise: ABC Leads with Poll Showing Disastrous Numbers for Biden Agenda

The Biden administration is in such dire straits that the Sunday talk show of liberals was forced to host the program. This time, the polling results were terrible for Biden’s campaign and for Democrats. ABC Sunday Morning was broadcast. This WeekAnchor George Stephanopoulos was the host of the program, despite the terrible polling results.

“We open with our brand-new poll by IPSOS. It shows big challenges for President Biden heading into this year’s midterm elections. The economy is in dire straits according to three out of every four Americans.Stephanopoulos announced the start of the program.

Adding: “Only 29 percent support deploying troops to counter the Russian threat to Ukraine. More than three quarters of Americans doubt President Obama’s promise to only consider black women for the job of replacing retiring Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer. He should be open to all potential nominees.”

Then he went to Jon Karl, chief Washington correspondent to discuss the ongoing problems facing Biden’s administration. Karl opened by speaking about the incident this week when Biden cursed Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy. He called it “an insult.” Untriggered flashes of frustration that are triggered by shouted questions

Karl then excused Biden’s outburst and declared: “Biden is not to be discouraged.” He then went on to detail the many problems Biden faces:

With his lowest approval score, he begins the second year as president. His domestic agenda and voting rights legislation both failed. All Republicans opposed it, but backed by Democratic colleagues.  It is not uncommon to feel frustrated abroad. North Korean missile test, Iran strengthening its nuclear weapons programs and fear that Russia might invade Ukraine. Biden will send some U.S. military personnel to Eastern Europe. However, he admitted there is only so much that he can do.

However, segments that highlight the problems of Democrats should include good news. Karl, for example, eagerly accepted that It was a welcome announcement at the White House when Justice Stephen Breyer announced his retirement from the Supreme Court. This gives Biden an opportunity to alter the topic and make history. Karl continued: “Keeping a campaign promise that the Supreme Court will nominate the first African woman.”

While it’s true having the opportunity to appoint a Supreme Court Justice is helpful to a President, announcing ahead of time that you will only nominate someone of a certain race and gender (which 76 percent of poll respondents said he should consider all possible candidates) is not going to help the Biden administration politically.

GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS : Hello. This Week is your welcome. This morning, we have much to share. We start with our new poll from IPSOS. It shows big challenges for President Biden heading into this year’s midterm elections. A third of Americans feel pessimistic regarding the economic state. Only 29% are in favor of sending troops to Ukraine to fight the Russian threat. Over three quarters of Americans are skeptical about President Trump’s commitment to select only black women as the replacement for Stephen Breyer, the retiring Supreme Court Justice. He should be open to all potential nominees. Jon Karl, Chief Washington correspondent, starts us off.

JON KARL – It was an untriggered flashes frustration, triggered by a shouted query.

PETER DOOCY: Are you concerned that inflation could be a liability in the future?

JOE BIDEN – It is a tremendous asset. Inflation. This is a foolish bitch.

KARL: Not President Biden’s finest moment. He later apologized. Biden still has plenty to regret. His lowest approval score yet starts his second term as President. His domestic agenda and voting rights legislation both failed. All Republicans opposed it, but backed by Democratic colleagues.  It is not uncommon to feel frustrated abroad. North Korean missile test, Iran nuclear programme advancements, fears of Russia invading Ukraine. Biden will send some U.S. military personnel to Eastern Europe. However, he admitted there is only so much that he can do.

BIDEN:  I don’t think even his people know for certain what he’s going to do.

KARL In keeping with a campaign promise, Biden will nominate the first woman of color to the Supreme Court.

BIDEN : This is a long-overdue initiative in my opinion. That was my promise during the presidential campaign. I intend to keep that commitment.

KARL: And while the retirement of a liberal Justice won’t give Biden the opportunity to change the court’s conservative majority, maybe just maybe he can get at least some Republican support for whoever he nominates.

BIDEN: I’m going to invite Senators from both parties to offer their ideas and points of view.

KARL

WHITE HOUSE PRESS SERETARY JEN PSAKI – If someone says they intend to label whoever he nominates after careful consideration with both sides as radical before knowing anything at all about her, it is a blatant lie.

KARL: A 50-50 Senate is a safe bet. Biden could reach out to Republicans but cannot count on them. He’ll need all 50 Democrats healthy, voting, and onboard. Justice Breyer announced his plans to retire and invoked Lincoln’s words from Gettysburg. In his appeal for American democracy that is more fragile than for long periods, Breyer said:

JUSTICE STEPHENBREYER: We’re currently engaged in a civil war. It is to determine whether this nation, or any other nation that has been so well-conceived and dedicated will last. Here are some letters George Washington wrote that said exactly the same thing. This is an experiment. It’s an experiment.
