‘They Should Do It’ Lemon Supports Dems Voting for Cheney in Primary

Thursday Night’s Don’t forget Lemon tonightLemon, two of Lemon’s guests, CNN commentator Nia Malika Henderson, and Republican political strategist Scott Jennings, discussed anti-Trump Republican Liz Cheney’s primary challenge, whether or not she is able to survive, and if so, if she will lose her seat on August 16.

Henderson stated that although Liz Cheney has done well raising money, it doesn’t always translate into votes. Henderson added that Henderson “essentially pleads with Democrats to help her win the August primary because she is aware that all is not lost for her.”

Lemon intervened and told Lemon “that makes sense.” She then asked Lemon “Why wouldn’t they?” “I mean, if they cared about it they would do it!”

Henderson responded that “they [Wyoming Democrats] might but the idea you’re going to amass enough Democrats to do that is a little unlikely, maybe. We’ll see.” Lemon, clearly frustrated by the uncertain state of things was making Lemon reconsider his argument for why Democrats should vote Liz Cheney in a Republican primaries for the simple reason she loathes Donald Trump.

Lemon stated, “I would suggest that if they are smart and really want someone with integrity to keep that seat,” before speaking to Scott Jennings, who is the only person on CNN to have any common sense and an IQ of 70 or more.

Scott, does that make sense? You mean what? Lemon begged Jennings.

Jennings argued that this is “probably the best strategy Cheney has to win this primary.” “So, it’s clear to me why she does this.”

“It’s funny to me having worked for the Bush-Cheney administration the idea of Democrats turning out to vote for a Cheney” Jennings joked before noting that he thought “it’s unlikely that enough Democrats would do that but if you’re a Democrat and you truly believe that the democracy is on the line, it’s hanging by a thread, or what have you then this would be a vote you could cast. It’s not likely in Wyoming, but it is a viable strategy that I could employ if she were my campaign.

Lemon now uses CNN’s radiowaves to push for Democrats in Wyoming to undermine the Republican primaries. To prolong the process, remember that leftist media crumbled after Rush Limbaugh’s “Operation Chaos”, a talk-radio legend and conservative talking radio host encouraged his listeners and supporters to change parties to support Hillary Clinton.

Lemon’s viewers are declining and it is unlikely that enough Wyomingans will watch him to tilt an election for the mayoral office.

NIA MALIKA HENDERSON – Liz Cheney’s fundraising efforts are impressive, but it doesn’t always translate into votes. In essence, she has pleaded for Democrats to support her in the August primary because they know that her hand is being written. This was obvious.

DON LEMON, That’s a good idea. It makes sense. They should, if they truly care!

HENDERSON : They could. They might but the idea you’re going to amass enough Democrats to do that is a little unlikely, maybe. We’ll see.

LEMON: If they are smart enough to vote for someone who is trustworthy, I think they should. Scott, does that sound reasonable to you? You mean, how do you feel?

SCOTT JENNINGS: Well it’s the—it’s the, probably the only strategy Cheney can employ in order to try to win this primary. This is why I get it. It’s funny to me having worked for the Bush-Cheney administration the idea of Democrats turning out to vote for a Cheney.

[laughing]

LEMON: Yes, I do! We’re in the twilight zone right now Scott!

[crosstalk]

JENNINGS – I know. I know. Nia is right. It’s highly unlikely that sufficient Democrats would vote for that, but if you believe the democracy is in danger, or that it’s at the end of its rope, this could be a vote that you would cast. Although Wyoming is unlikely to allow it, I think it would be a good strategy for her campaign.
