The View Decries Boosting SCOTUS Security After Assassination Attempt, Send ‘Thoughts’

The vile coven of ABC’s The ViewThey were vocal in their hostility and hatred towards conservative Supreme Court justices on Thursday. This was after one of their liberal friends attempted to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Amid paying lip service to the idea of being “more careful” to what’s being said, they asserted it was happening on “both sides” and decried that Republicans wanted to increase the security detail for justices, suggesting they should send “thoughts and prayers” instead.

“But in this climate, don’t we all have to, like, take a beat and really pay attentionBoth sides? We are both guilty. Both sides are guilty of doing this,” Whoopi Goldberg, cohost of the show, declared the following when the team finally reached the goal to assassinate the host in B-block. “There are consequences to what you say, and you should be more careful.”

This was almost a full month later. The ViewLeftists encouraged mobs to attack conservative justices’ homes after being targeted by a hate group. “[Justice Samuel Alito]You cannot get out of your house without permission. So maybe that’s a good lesson for them,”Joy Behar was the co-host at that moment.

And on Thursday, Behar’s desire for the conservative justices to feel unsafe in their homes was seemingly unmoved by the assassination attempt as she decried Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) calls for increased security (she also seemed to think he was a representative in the House):

BEHAR: The House of – what’s his face, McConnell. He’s demanding that the House pass security protections for Supreme Court justices, quote, unquote, “before the sun sets today.”

GOLDBERG

BEHAR: However, Uvalde has not been able to compete with Buffalo so far. It’s at most a month and half since Buffalo, or some other incident. It’s been two weeks since the deaths of these children. The Supreme Court is what he’s most concerned about. He is so worried about it!

Self-described Republican Ana Navarro began to say “We should be worried about the Supreme Court,” only to be interrupted by Goldberg and her both-sides-ism, saying, “We should be worried about everybody.”

But Navarro would go on to take up Behar’s argument and decry increased security, and apparently suggesting they should get “thoughts and prayers” like those involved in school shootings:

NAVARRO – And I’d like to know, How come there is an immediate need for legislation?

BEHAR

NAVARRO: Our children have thoughts and prayers.

Good for goose, good for gander” Goldberg declared in agreement. “None of us should be doing it. It’s not the end. It’s time for you to stop. We will cease doing it.” she added, speaking about the use violent rhetoric.

Bitter and mentally unstable co-host Sunny Hostin chimed in to claim McConnell was “intellectually dishonest” and a “filthy liar” for calling out Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s 2020 threat against Justices Kavanaugh and Gorsuch, where he warned they will “unleash the whirlwind” and “pay the price” for overturning Roe V. Wade.

She went on to falsely claim the wannabe assassin was angry about the leaking of the draft opinion that would overturn Roe rather than Kavanaugh’s position on the issue. “He said the reason that he showed up at Justice Kavanaugh’s home is because He was angry about the leak,The Supreme Court’s opinion leak. Schumer was wrong two years back. So, [McConnell’s] politicizing it,” she huffed.

McConnell does not lie in this instance.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG : Is it not time for us all to take a break and listen from both ends in these times? It’s because we are all guilty. Each side is guilty of this. Then, some really crazy things happen and it’s clear that other people are out there listening. What you speak can have serious consequences, so you need to be even more cautious.

ANA NAVARRO : We should strongly condemn

JOY BEHAR: The House of – what’s his face, McConnell. He’s demanding that the House pass security protections for Supreme Court justices, quote, unquote, “before the sun sets today.”

GOLDBERG

BEHAR Two weeks have passed since the death of these two children. He is worried about the Supreme Court. He is so worried about it!

NAVARRO: The Supreme Court should concern us.

GOLDBERG: Everyone should be in our thoughts.

NAVARRO: And we should condemn and not condone any violence against any public official whether we agree with them or not, and it shouldn’t just be the Supreme Court, there’s also federal judges.

NAVARRO – And I’m curious as to why the immediate response is to call for legislation.

BEHAR

NAVARRO – But do our children have thoughts and prayers too?

GOLDBERG: Yes. Praises and thoughts for mental well-being. Is there a conversation? Listen. It’s not good for goose, but it is for the goose.

It is something that we should all avoid. It’s not worth it. It’s time to stop. We will not do it anymore. We will encourage others to use a more effective way of communicating. This is insane.

SUNNY HOOSTIN: The truth is that Mitch McConnell has been intellectually dishonest. Because if you look at–

GOLDBERG: This is not a new concept.

[Laughter]

HOSTIN: That’s true.

BEHAR: This is his personality.

HOSTIN: I’ve said it before, he’s a filthy liar. But the bottom line is, if you look at the – listen to what this young man who is clearly troubled said to the police. According to him, he came to Justice Kavanaugh’s house because he was angry about the Supreme Court opinions’ leak. Schumer did not say what Schumer had said in 2002. It’s been politicized by him.

BEHAR: The need to take something from their backs.
