We were fortunate to be able, for the last few weeks, to see the Rittenhouse trial ourselves..
Make no mistake, there has been no shortage of imbalanced visuals and cerebrally-challenged commentary surrounding the case over the past weeks that is the Kyle Rittenhouse trial. From a prosecution team that had dreams of a post-verdict TV career to a judge who was very comfortable in his robe or the defendant who became social media fodder after breaking down on the stand and a lawyer whose face-palm became a meme after his witness unraveled their case with one answer — this had all the earmarks of a legal jesters’ cabaret.
It was live and available for all to view. We must be thankful.
Yes, I am aware that there were many people who said this was a disaster of torts. The fact that cameras were present not only increased the drama but also encouraged many of these shenanigans. Thomas Binger was the leading prosecutor. It became obvious that Thomas Binger was looking for a new career. But he ended up pointing his gun at the juror and displaying worse gun handling than the 17-year old he attempted to prove was reckless.
Judge Bruce Schroeder enjoyed his time at the lenses. He blasted some of the prosecution’s actions, while also permitting their scam of a case continue, in spite of numerous reasons to declare a mistrial. Considering that this prosecution team has been such a disaster that airbags should have gone off at the plaintiff’s desk, the trial has not been curtailed. It would have cut down on the camera time.
We then witnessed the MSNBC/NBC News dramatize with possible jury tampering. A stringer for NBC was chasing down the juror’s vehicle, seemingly looking to learn who they were, in defiance of the safety protocols set up for them. But don’t you dare call the press the “enemy of the people.” The past few weeks, the journalists have been behaving like jackals, as there has been no shortage of wild claims about this case made in the press. It is not difficult to see the mistruths and misrepresentations as well as misapplication of law.
They are far from the only errors and misrepresentations that have been made about this case. This has become a full-blown circus of media representations and narrative building. But the great thing about all of this is there was a tonic to all this delirium — we were able to see the facts for ourselves. We didn’t have to trust the dramatists with an agenda. Instead, we were able to see and hear the facts for ourselves.
The fact that cameras were allowed in this courtroom had a two-pronged effect — we could ascertain the facts of the trial, and it exposed the media as the corrupt cabal that they are. Joe Scarborough accidentally proved that these proceedings needed to be televised. Scarborough was later shamed after presenting inexact facts. He raged against the accusation, declaring that he had been embarrassed. on behalf of the defense lawyerFor mentioning his irrationality in the court’s official records.
Joe then went even further. Joe slammed anyone who believed his absurd claim that Kyle Rittenhouse had fired 60 rounds. He also took his claims as true. Take a look at this: a TV pundit can be mad! Listen to the audienceBelieve him and listen to his words.
To anyone who had been watching the case for longer than 60 seconds, this is clearly wrong. It was actually 60 seconds. Thank you for this. https://t.co/opGKvw6VEL

It is notable that Scarborough made my point. We were able follow the trial and his absurd charge was dismissed quickly. His corrections were issued to him after he was called out. We could then see all the evidence and facts ourselves. Imagine how many falsehoods would have been propagated in the media if there were no cameras at that court.
The cameras can have an impact on trial proceedings. With the Panaflex battalion’s arrival, the participants will behave differently. It is important to remember that the media do not act in an entirely different way. They are driven by their agendas and incapable of steering coverage. It is up to us as individuals to observe the situation and assess how bad it is.
Although you may not enjoy the look of roaches in your yard, try to picture what their activities are if they do. It is notTurn the lights on.
