The Left Has Created Their Own Misery – Opinion

After Elon Musk’s announcement of his official ownership of Twitter, there has been much wailing and grinning. After the Florida decision to remove Disney from their tax exemption, there was much wailing. After the decision in several states to prohibit critical race theory within public education, there was much wailing as well as gnashing of teeth. The wailing, gnashing and crying of teeth followed parent organizing to demand accountability from their school boards. This has resulted in tens or thousands of parents all across the country (including mine) running for those seats.

It’s been a miserable year so far for progressives, and it doesn’t seem to be looking up.

Biden now has the honor of being the worst-polling President in history, and Kamala Harris – THE FIRST WOMAN OF COLOR™ Vice President – has managed to squander any semblance of good will related to her racial status by being generally terrible in every way imaginable. Inflation has deflated the Democrat base, America’s public school students are woefully behind in education statistics, and global politics have become the most unstable in years.

Everything is awful and it’s just getting worse. This misery was created by the progressive left all on their own.

To wrestle the 2020 election to submission, they used the legal system as well as social media censorship and bias in mainstream media (or perhaps even worse) They gave us a President no one really wanted, one who wasn’t ready for “that 3a.m. call” and in fact was barely lucid most of his campaign. America did not want Joe Biden, and the chaos you’re seeing now is the manifestation of the collective consciousness of 325 million Americans who have the sinking feeling that something’s not right.

The January 2020 election saw progressives get cocky. The Democrat leaders and the progressives believed that they were able to eliminate all opposition forever and destroy both the Republican Party of America and its conservative allies. This is a shocking ignorance considering that the country has always been divided politically. American governance has found a salvation in the fact that politics is cyclical. We are now looking into what happens if one side believes that the cycle is finished.

It is not something that anyone likes.

The left’s misery is their own doing. We advised them that pushing oppositional voices underground will only motivate and aggrave people. Their policies will only cause more damage, chaos and crime. We advised them that no matter how successful the election, the American people will still have the right to speak for themselves and get their way. They were warned that their parents can only push children so far from them before they will start to fight back. We warned them they were creating a whole new class of political activists who wouldn’t be as kind or soft as the Tea Party activists turned out to be.

We told them they could hate Dr. Frankenstein if they insist on playing Dr. Frankenstein with our biology, economy and social discourse.

All they had to do was not be crazy, and they couldn’t manage it. The ‘woke’ have awakened the sleepy electorate that would have been fine to maintain the status quo if only the left could have kept a lid on their insanity. Their ridiculous political litmus test that forces anyone not toeing the alt-left progressive line into the “right-wing nutjob” camp has done nothing but make conservatives out of perfectly fine liberals.

Twitter employees are weeping as they fear that Twitter users will engage in uncensored and open discourse. That’s how far down this rabbit hole the progressive left has taken us all.

If they are miserable, it’s their own damn fault. You were told so, and if you could learn any lessons it might have been possible to find some kind of middle. Unfortunately you didn’t realize how important this was.

Conservatives are going scorched earth through 2024 and the irony is that the people who are helping us scorch the earth aren’t even conservatives. They were just too excited by your lunacy.
