The Gloves Come off After USCP Arrests 16 Members of Congress Over SCOTUS Protest – Opinion

On Tuesday, a chaotic scene unfolded in front of Supreme Court. The USCP issued multiple warnings to the protestors blocking First Street NE and then made large numbers of arrests. This time, it wasn’t just random, blue-haired abortion activists being led away, though.

The USCP reports that 16 other members of Congress were arrested. Who they specifically are hasn’t been released yet, but one look at social media provides some clues. Here’s Ilhan Omar, playing things up for the cameras, obviously among the arrest number.

The timeline is shown below. According to law enforcement, there were three warnings that Congressmen and protesters had to clear the streets. They didn’t do so, and police moved in.

It is still unclear what protesting before the Supreme Court serves as a point. Already, the Justices overturned Roe V. WadeThe Dobbs decision. It is impossible for them to reverse their actions, no matter how hard they try. The minimum requirement is that a lower court must challenge the decision, which appears impossible to find. These politicians aren’t hoping to actually accomplish anything with their illegal protests because they can’t accomplish anything. As a means to promote their narrative, they want the press reporting on how oppressed people are by being detained.

With that said, the USCP’s move is certainly interesting. Just days ago, Ocasio-Cortez slammed them as helping foment “insurrection” on January 6th, a claim she’s made several times without an ounce of evidence (and plenty to the contrary). She’s also lashed out at other times, accusing the USCP of putting her in danger and purposely not protecting her, with a heckling incident being the latest thing that set her off.

Did you remember when the USCP was declared heroes due to January 6th? That sure went down the drain quickly, didn’t it? Democrats are now trying to defy them and create pro-abortion photo-ops.

Maybe the department’s leadership just had enough of allowing members of “the squad” to trash them while getting a free pass in regards to the law? It doesn’t matter what the reason, it feels like an increase. Unfortunately, none of it will matter if prosecutors don’t actually pursue charges, and you can bet the house that the partisan DOJ is not going to do a thing to these congressional members. I would suspect there won’t even be any fines levied here.
