President Joe Biden just can’t seem to get a break. Each week, another poll shows that his approval ratings are falling faster than the Titanic.
This is because even among Democratic voters, Biden has been losing support rapidly. These surveys revealed that Biden is losing popularity in key blue states.
One study revealed that only 40 percent of likely voters in Michigan approve of the president’s performance, which marks a 10 percent decrease since March. A further 52 percent dislike the manner in which Biden is leading.
A Monmouth University poll showed that among New Jersey voters, Biden’s support has fallen to 42 percent, which is eight points lower than it was in August. According to a Goucher College survey, the President still has a 53% approval rating in Maryland. However, that is still nine points lower than August’s.
The Free Beacon is noted
Biden’s decline has been particularly acute among independents, whose support for the president has fallen 27 points since Inauguration Day. Biden has now earned the worst approval rating among any president during his tenure.
Biden’s overall approval has taken significant damage over the past few months – but the fact he is losing support among Democrats is interesting, considering the level of popularity he had shortly after taking office. Perhaps this is an indicator that the activist media’s constant efforts to protect Biden are failing. This president’s performance is so poor that even the news media can not save him.
Since his election, President Biden has failed to manage a number of crises. Biden’s administration continues to struggle with problems such as the migrant crises, the aftermath of the failed Afghanistan withdrawal, supply chains shortages, rising gas prices, inflation and the fallout from Afghanistan withdrawal. It appears that the president is not making any progress on any of these problems.
Further compounding the problem, Democrats haven’t had a major victory since early this year when they passed emergency coronavirus relief legislation. Biden’s Build Back Better agenda is having a tough time making it through Congress. Indeed, if it does pass, it’ll be a shadow of what was originally promised.
There is still time for things to improve, but it’s getting shorter. As the midterms approach, Biden’s poor performance approval could easily have a negative impact on Democrats seeking to maintain their congressional seats. If the President’s past performance is an indicator, it will be difficult to get those same high approval ratings in the future.
