Stelter Allows Former Ministry of Truth Head to Spread Disinformation

Sunday Trustworthy SourcesOn CNN, Brian Stelter’s opening monologue was a blurred mess. He was enraged by the disinformation that is available online and American politics as a whole. Stelter brought Nina Jankowicz, former Head of the Ministry of Truth under President Joe Biden to assist her in rehabilitating her image. Jankowicz disinformation was spread by herself, which is not surprising.

Stelter, as you might expect, opened the segment by sucking up and failing to correct any of her lies. The sympathetic view is that the disinformation panel was disinformation’s victim. Do you feel that way?

Jankowicz replied that it was “absolutely the victim of disinformation.” These narratives that the Disinformation Governance Board was an Orwellian Ministry of Truth were the basis of all of my harassment and disinformation. That falsehood was intentionally propagated by many on Capitol Hill and the conservative media ecosystem.”

Stelter became very upset by the claim that she had been unfairly targeted. They didn’t defend you. Why couldn’t they defend you? Why didn’t the government explain what the heck it was doing?”

After making excuses, she continued to claim that she was not in charge of the situation and that no decisions had been made with her consent.

Stelter set her up as a victim to all of the personal abuses she had to deal with: “These critics were numerous, and they were extremely loud. You are a big liberal and could not be hired because of the disinformation you have posted on Twitter.

Jankowicz responded by going through a list of grievances, many of them false.

This disinformation was not posted by me. I didn’t send it in 2016. I only had 1000 followers on Twitter. I just shared information as the election was unfolding. That wasn’t disinformation. It was simply sharing news.

Others focused on tweets without context. One tweet the conservatives loved to amplify was one they said made it seem that I was calling Hunter Biden’s laptop disinformation. In fact, I was live-tweeting the debate. The exact same words as President Trump and then-candidate Biden used during a debate. Completely stripped of context.

Jankowicz’s claims were made on CNN. Our friend Jerry Dunleavy, Washington Examiner, brought receipts showing that Jankowicz claimed she had never spread misinformation online.

Intentionally lying about Trump’s past ties with Russia Alfa Bank and his secret emails servers for communicating with Russians, she did so. Both of these claims are false and completely false. Nina, Screenshots will never end! Stelter has never spoken to Nina about it. Stelter is a fake journalist for a fake news channel.

Brian Stelter invited former Ministry of Truth head, Mary Ann Fisher to rehab her image. It was possible due to endorsements by Allstate Investments and Fisher Investments. They are linked.

BRIAN STALTER: The sympathetic view is that the disinformation boards were victims of disinformation. Do you agree?

NINA JANKOWICZ (Yes, that was it.) It was that falsehood that all these stories, that disinformation governance board would be an Orwellian ministry for truth, and all of my harassment and disinformation directed at me were based. This falsehood was known to have been knowingly propagated by many in the conservative media environment and at capitol hill.

STELTER: Ok why…

JANKOWICZ :

STELTER. If this is the case, then what was the Homeland Security Department up to? Why didn’t they defend yourself? Why did you not defend yourself? Why didn’t the government explain what the heck it was doing?

JANKOWICZ (Yes, I had a lot to doubt about the process. Brian: First, there was an over-focus on me due to the power I hold within the department. I wasn’t allowed to speak for myself, and all communications decisions about how to discuss the board were made beyond my salary grade and my decision-making abilities. While I was the executivedirector, many others were not willing to listen or take my advice.

STELTER : “I see.”

STELTER: I’d start by naming the person. It doesn’t have to be the entire name. This sounds Orwellian. Any PR professional would tell you to not call it that. It was just dumb mistakes.

JANKOWICZ (right) That was why I decided to resign. Because it felt like they were just being lenient to me. These were the experts they chose to oversee this project and be its guardian. The effort was not worth the cost. Particularly when my family was being threatened.

STELTER: You are going to have a baby soon and I’d like to talk to you more about it. There were so many critics. They were loud. These critics claim you’re a huge liberal who could never get the job due to your tweet disinformation.

JANKOWSKI: There are many details to consider. Let’s begin with the notion that anyone could be somebody, and any member of the political spectrum can want to be involved in policing speech. The colonel in that critique is again the notion that the board would police speech, which was not the case.

That would make it impossible for anyone to be impartial, particularly in the anti-disinformation field, and would not appeal to everybody in that position. However, this was not disinformation. The folks who are focusing in on my tweets in 2016 with less than 1000 followers know that I wasn’t posting it. I was simply sharing information as the election was unfolding as millions of Americans did, and using their freedom to speech. It wasn’t disinformation.

STELTER – Do you believe you made the right hiring decision?

JANKOWICZ
