The Roe decision was leaked by SCOTUS, as we have reported previously. Even though court appointments are increasingly political, the professional and moral standards at SCOTUS have been long respected. Because justices take the judicial mission seriously, leaks are rare. It is the highest court of the country. The decisions they make have profound implications for American lives. They often take on controversial cases and make controversial rulings.
The court’s privacy must be maintained for the safety of all parties, as well as to safeguard the opinion and draft process. There has never been a similar violation to that privacy. Numerous are calling for an investigation into the leak. Twitter is already pointing to “sources” saying Chief Justice Roberts will likely call for an investigation involving the FBI.
This leak is unprecedented. #SCOTUS. This raises concerns about the future of the institution and what Chief Justice Roberts’ response will be.
According to sources, tonight’s news will be reported by @JanCBSHe is expected to direct a thorough investigation that includes the FBI to find the source.— Elizabeth Campbell (@ECampbell360) May 3, 2022
One Twitter user was not only skeptical, but more.
If it is the FBI, it can be assumed that the FBI leaked the information.

RedState’s Susie Moore is a former attorney and says Americans need to take a breath and understand that a draft of a decision is not actually a decision.
No. No. An opinion draft is available. An opinion draft. It could be tweaked and altered in innumerable ways before it’s ultimately issued.
