After CNN fired Chris Cuomo, its host for journalistic misconduct and was suspended by CNN, the former Empire actor and accused hate crime hoaxer Jussie Smollett took the stand in his own defense on Monday, where he’s accused of lying to police, and testified that CNN race-baiter and late-night host Don Lemon tipped him off to skepticism from Chicago police.
Lemon later on that night covered the trial. Omar Jimenez was the correspondent. Lemon did not mention Smollett, who was ratting Lemon out at the stand.
Multiple reports by witnesses in the Chicago courtroom claim that Smollett identified Lemon as an insider source. “Smollett testified during investigation he got a text from Don Lemon — saying CPD didn’t believe him,” reported Fox News correspondent Matt Finn on Twitter. Adding: “(smollett [sic]Before you object, speak fast. Not verbatim.)”
“Don Lemon allegedly texted the former TV star shortly after he claims he was attacked in Chicago in February 2019, to say that Chicago’s Police Department wasn’t taking his allegations seriously,” reportedGreg Woodfield, Andrea Blanco and Stephen Lepore, all U.K.-based Daily Mail.

And that wasn’t all. The record was ultimately deleted.
Smollett, Monday: Testimony in Court [sic]39-year-old Emmanuel claimed that he was in touch with CNN’s Don Lemon at the beginning of the CPD investigation.
A remark was made and struck from the records. He stated that it seemed like things were getting a lot more complicated after receiving a text message by Lemon, in which Lemon claimed the Chicago police had reached him to tell him that they don’t believe Smollett.
Lemon stayed up late into the night to wait until the very end of the 2nd hour. Don’t forget Lemon tonight(from 10 minutes until midnight): To bring up Smollett’s trial with Jimenez. The entire segment lasted five minutes and seven seconds and ended with Lemon signing off for the night and no mention of Smollett’s testimony about him.
There is no other place. Jimenez’s write-up of Monday’s trial events did he (or co-writer Eric Levenson) report to CNN’s readers that Lemon was a subject in his testimony. And in his own tweet about the trial, Jimenez claimed the “bottom line” was that Smollett was adamant that he didn’t plan a hoax “never in my life.”
The defense has taken Smollett through nearly every single one of the prosecution’s major points in this case. He’s refuted them at almost every turn and maintained his innocence throughout. Now, it’s the prosecution’s time for cross examination.

But that’s not surprising since Jimenez was the one who made the “There were peaceful but not violent protests” line infamous during the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots.
Lemon’s career might now be tracking with that of his close friend Cuomo. Both men are being accused of journalistic misconduct, which involves the abuse of sources in order to provide information to criminal suspects. SexualityAl misconduct allegations.
However, will they achieve the same result? CNN has this information.
CNN’s refusal to inform viewers about how Don Lemon was involved with Jussie Smollett was made possible because of lucrative sponsorships from Volvo And Amazon. You can find their contact information linked to let you know about biased news that they are funding.
