The corrupt 60 minutes on CBS won’t correct the record. Media outlets that shamefully pushed Democratic talking points that the blockbuster story was “Russian disinformation” need to correct the record and apologize. This Sunday 60 minutesI jumped at the chance.
Lesley Stahl avoided discussing the subject for an entire hour. At the very end of the show, she began an update: “Now an update on a story we first reported nearly two years ago….” But it was an unrelated topic and update.
However, this will be effective on the 25th of October 202060 minutes colleague Norah O’Donnell interviewed Biden for the show and scoffed at the story, broken by the New York Post: “In the closing days of the campaign, Joe Biden has been forced to address new and unverified claims that he was involved in his son Hunter’s foreign business dealings.”
Giving the Democrat a platform to push the very real scandal as somehow false, she tossed this embarrassing softball: “Do you believe the recent leak of material allegedly from Hunter’s computer is part of a Russian disinformation campaign?”
Stahl also interviewed Donald Trump on the October 25, 2020 program. A few days earlier, White House broadcast unaired footage showing the President arguing with the journalist over the Hunter Biden Laptop. LESLEY STAH: This is Hunter’s story. Some repair shop discovered it. Rudy Giuliani, Steve Bannon are the source.
DONALD TRUMP: I don’t know anything about that, I just know it’s a laptop. And they haven’t –
STAHL: And you’re making this one of the hottest, most important issues.
TRUMP: I don’t know about the two gentleman you mentioned –
STAHL: This is what I meant.
TRUMP: It’s a very important issue to find out whether or not a man is corrupt, who’s running for president, who’s accepted money from China and from Ukraine and from Russia. Yeah, I think that’s an important issue.
STAHL

TRUMP: It can. They found it, excuse me. Lesley, Lesley.
STAHL: It can’t be verified.
TRUMP: What can’t be verified?
The STAHL laptop.
TRUMP: How can you believe that?
STAHL: Because –
TRUMP: Even the family hasn’t – the family on the laptop. He’s gone into hiding for five days. He’s gone into hiding.
The Media Research Center found that 45% of Biden voters did not know the story in a November 2020 poll. According to then-MRC Research Director Rich Noyes: “Full awareness of the Hunter Biden scandal would have led 9.4% of Biden voters to abandon the Democratic candidate, flipping all six of the swing states he won to Trump, giving the President 311 electoral votes.”
It’s no surprise that the corrupt media of liberal media refused to revisit this story.
