A Seattle man was arrested for reading aloud the Gospel of Saint Matthew in a public park as a “Gay Pride*” event was taking place.
Matthew Meinecke, often referred to as a “street preacher,” was on public property reading aloud from the Bible without the benefit of amplification when he was rousted and then arrested by Seattle’s finest.

Meinecke was also taken into custody last week when he read the Bible aloud at a pro Moloch rally. I’m not sure what the facts were there, but according to reports, the Seattle city prosecutor does not plan on charging Meinecke for anything. This reveals the true purpose of the arrest was to silence Meinecke so the Gay Pride bunch wouldn’t be upset.
I’m going to return to a theme that I’ve harped on in the past. Too many conservatives have bought into the “back the blue” nonsense in response to the “defund the police” movement and BLM rioting. This is wrong. Police aren’t guarantors of freedom; they are the enforcers of the administrative state. The main forces that oppose gun rights are police unions and the cliques composed of top-ranking officers. It is not uncommon to see police enforce the most hideous regulations. During the “pandemic,” police in (at least) New York and New Jersey broke up funerals and gatherings in private homes. Police arrested individuals in abandoned parks and at beaches. People were not wearing masks when they were arrested. Similar problems exist with their record in protecting Christians’ First Amendment rights. Dearborn, Michigan had to settle a large amount because police detained Christian preachers at a Muslim street festival. Earlier in “Pride” month, police in Coeur d’Alene threatened to arrest Christian ministers presenting a message counter to the depravity going on (see Coeur d’Alene Police Threaten Preachers With Arrest to Protect Gay Pride Event in City Park). We now have this.
Police are always on the side people who sign their checks. Period. The police cannot be relied upon to protect your rights when faced with a hostile regime. You deserve every misfortune that comes along. You should reconsider your political views if you support the police who treat street preachers and hooded Antifa thuglets like a privileged group. Only law enforcement that is keeping our communities safe should be supported. They owe us nothing beyond this. They have lost the right of our support when they violate Gay Pride laws to protect gay pride organizers.
*Pride is, fittingly, one of the Seven Deadly Sins and one that theologians have, across the centuries, declared to be the deadliest sin—celebrating this sin in conjunction with one of the four sins that, according to Scripture, “cries to Heaven for vengeance” seems appropriate.
