Seattle LGBT Community Not Satisfied With Amazon’s Show Of Support

The LGBT community in Seattle thinks they are suffering, and it seems like they really need a huge reality check to understand that isn’t true.

On Wednesday, Amazon’s Seattle headquarters raised a massive pride flag outside of their building. The majority of people in the community will see it and wonder, “Man! What an impressive show of support and validation for our identity!” We should be grateful that this group gets so much respect.

However, as with all the emotionally vulnerable LGBT communities, such stunts don’t always work.

Amazon workers sat on the breezeway where Amazon raised the flag and 30 others covered their bodies in it. because they were upset that Amazon sells books they deemed were “transphobic.”

But Seattle’s LGBT community’s beef with Jeff Bezos’ brainchild doesn’t stop there.

Seattle Pride, the organization which coordinates Seattle’s LGBT community dropped Amazon from its annual Pride parade sponsorship because Amazon apparently donated to LGBT+ politicians.

Seattle Pride stated that they have decided not to partner with Amazon in the 2022 Seattle Pride Parade due to their financial donations to politicians, who are actively proposing and supporting anti-LGBTQIA+ laws, opposed pro-LGBTQIA+ human rights legislation and for allowing antiLGBTQIA+ organisations to raise money from AmazonSmile.

So it’s not enough that Amazon just showed that they will go all out to support the LGBT community, but now the LGBT folks are playing watchdog on all the business doings of Amazon and finding any way they can intimidate the shipping giant into caving to their agenda.

It’s repulsive and idiotic, but this is how they often operate so they can get what they want. Because that’s what life is all about, making sure that the Alphabet Mafia doesn’t feel emotionally damaged.
