If it’s not one thing with the left, it’s another. Liberals are destructive of everything they touch. This is often quite shameful.
Whether it’s “moderate” liberals standing with the radical left in support of Marxist-derived critical race theory to the point of opposing the rights of parents to have a say in the education of their children, or canceling a book club event with a Nobel Prize winner who was forced into sexual slavery at age 14 after her parents were murdered by the brutal Islamist terrorist organization, ISIS — because the school board, in its infinite wisdom, didn’t want to… wait for it… foster Islamophobia, this is today’s virulent left.
And they don’t give a damn if you like it or not. Here is some despicable evidence of this.

Washington Examiner reports that Canada’s biggest school board banned students from attending an ISIS survivors book club. Nadia Murad was a Nobel Peace Prize recipient who survived being taken hostage by ISIS as a teenager. She also wrote a book detailing the horrors many would experience, such as torture and rape.
The Last Girl: My Story of Captivity and My Fight against the Islamic State

Nadia Murad was born in Kocho and raised by shepherds and farmers in northern Iraq. As a Yazidi member, Nadia lived with her siblings and a peaceful life. Nadia had ambitions to become a teacher of history or open her own beauty salon. This was Nadia’s last day of life on August 15, 2014.
Islamic State militants murdered the village’s inhabitants, executioning men who refuse to Islamize and women too old for sex slavery. Six of Nadia’s brothers were killed, and her mother soon after, their bodies swept into mass graves. Nadia, along with many other Yazidi girls was forced into ISIS slavery trade.
Nadia would eventually be taken prisoner by several militants. She was repeatedly raped, and even beat. She managed to escape the Mosul streets, but only narrowly, and found refuge in the home of Sunni Muslim families whose oldest son had to risk his life to bring her to safety.
It is amazing that this brave young lady willingly shared her story so others can learn from those who have experienced Islamist extremism firsthand.
Imagine, then, the decision by a “progressive,” know-it-all school board to deny an opportunity for students to learn, first-hand, the reality of radical Islamism. Oh, wait — mustn’t offend “the Muslims.”

According to The Telegraph, Nadia had been scheduled to attend a book club with students of the Toronto District School Board on February 20, 2022 after Murad’s book was released. However, board superintendent Helen Fisher decided students would not be allowed to attend the event, citing concerns that Murad’s book would offend students and “foster Islamophobia.”
Helen, get on the bus.
“Offend other students”? Which ones and how? Are we talking “offended by Nadia: What happened?,” or are we talking “offended by Nadia telling students about She was the one who made it happen.“? I’m gonna go with “B.”
Fisher’s ridiculous decision faced heavy backlash among students, parents, and the community as a whole. What do liberals do when they are forced to swim upstream?
They are lies.
The board issued a statement in which they said they wanted to “clarify” [ROFL emoji]Their position.

The Toronto District School Board received an opinion which did not match the current position. This was before staff had the chance to read the books. It is a routine practice to do this before students are given the books.
Sincere apologies [nonsense, this was a lay-up]To Ms. Murad for her powerful stories and the opportunity to teach students a lot.
Oh, please. As I’m wont to say in situations like this, what a It is a complete mess of garbage.
The person who “shared that opinion” with the organizer of the book club was no doubt Helen Fisher. And now these clowns say they didn’t have the opportunity to actually read the book — which the board admits is routine — so what do they do? “Apologize.” Nonsense. They were caught.
They learned surprising things, but not even CanadaWas (yet?) willing to accept this left-wing crap.
Period. The end of the story.
