Remember: Abortion-Loving Media Embrace a Culture of Death

The leftwing media made a lot of comments in the aftermath of the shooting at Uvalde, Texas. All of it conspicuous in what it doesn’t say. Journalism is all for discussing abortion’s culture of death.

It doesn’t matter if it The New York Times here and here and elsewhere or The Washington Post here and elsewhere, the call out of the “gun lobby” is vociferous. Fox has a headline that says it all:

MSNBC, The View go off on blood-drenched Republicans, call for 2nd Amendment repeal: ‘Barbarians’

Michael Moore and Whoopi Goldberg among others stated that the Texas shooting should lead to strict gun regulations

Of course, President Joe Biden was a major source of news. He quickly spoke in front cameras, saying, “With complete predictability,” this:

“As a nation, we have to ask when in God’s name are we going to stand up to the gun lobby? When in God’s name are we going to do what we all know in our gut needs to be done?”

What did the liberal media forget to mention or headline?

This information is mentioned in an earlier Fox News headline:

More than 63 million US abortions occurred since 1973, when Roe V. Wade was decided.

Between 1975 and 2012, America witnessed more than 1,000,000 abortions annually

Nobody in liberal media wonders aloud where anyone can get the notion that human life does not have a sacred value, but is rather considered to be cheap and disposable.

The answer is known by the entire media, probably all of America. Curiously, however, liberal media won’t say that out loud. It is unlikely that they will discuss the idea on TV or in print.

In fact, America had a mass shooting in which the shooter — deranged as he was — claimed a  “message” he received from the media. It was the Aurora shooting of 2012 in Colorado, where James Holmes, the shooter entered a packed cinema. ABC News has the following description:

“The 24-year-old said “I am the Joker” when arrested by police early Friday morning, and the massacre that went down inside the Century 16 theater has parallels to more than one scene from Frank Miller’s 1986 Batman comic book series, “The Dark Knight Returns.”

That comic-book series features the Joker, who uses “smilegas” to kill a television audience. Holmes started his murder by infusing smoke bombs into the theater. The series also features Arnold Crimp, a disturbed man who just lost his job, pulling out a handgun in an adult film theater and killing three people.”

You can only imagine how the panelists would react to this! The View had the audacity to suggest that maybe, just maybe, the decidedly public and repeated message put forth by the “pro-choice” abortion lobbies were sending a wrong message to unstable young people with a proclivity to violence? Others? That would be that person’s last appearance on The View

Imagine the outrage among the liberal media, if the President Biden actually made this statement.

“As a nation, we have to ask when in God’s name are we going to stand up to the gun and abortion lobbies?”

This statement will cause Democrats and media allies to clamor for his impeachment, if not immediate resignation.

Remember the interne furore at The New York Times when the opinion editor of the moment had the audacity to publish, in the wake of the riots over George Floyd’s death, an article from Republican Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton that had the audacity — the nerve! To suggest that the US military be brought in to stop the insurrection in American cities. Quickly, the opinion editor was pushed out of the room.

It is quite likely that if a TV personality or an opinion author were to publicly suggest the abortion lobby had some responsibility to send a negative message regarding the sacredness human life, then they would instantly be expelled and never again appear on television or in any major newspaper.

Which, in its own way, tells one everything one needs to know about the “tolerance” and “inclusivity” of the mainstream liberal media.

What’s the worst part? If and when there is another of these horrific moments, nothing – nothing – will change about the media’s “ground rules” for public discussion.
