Reid Freaks At Conservative Culture War Wins, Claims GOP Own Women

On Tuesday night, MSNBC’s Joy Reid had another freak-out on ReidOut this time doubling down on her false and reckless claims that the conservative-leaning Supreme Court unleashed Republican states to “literally take physical control of half the population” which she ridiculously defined as “women and queer folks with uteruses.”

“The court majority is flexing its unelected power rather brazenly to further not a judicial or a constitutional but seemingly a religious agenda. That is unprecedented in a country that’s separated from the crown that leads a national church” Reid wailed.

After falsely claiming that “the Republican Party, spent the past few days asserting that little girls, 10-year-old little girls who have been raped should bear the children of their rapists” Reid proclaimed that “America’s 10-year-olds are also at the mercy of mass shooters when they walk into their fourth-grade classrooms because this court has decreed that guns have more rights than children or women.”

Reid never explained how women and children have fewer rights than guns, when was the last time you needed to get a background check or the government’s permission to bring your wife or children out in public?

Once again lying about Florida’s “Parental Rights in Education” law Reid without any evidence said that “Teachers who are gay or lesbian or bi have been forced back into the closet for fear of violating the ‘Don’t say gay’ law.”

She also huffed that Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis floated the idea of investigating parents who bring their underage children to sexually explicit and inappropriate “drag queen story time” shows:

DeSantis has suggested that child protective agencies should be ordered to look into parents who drag their kids to story time. While schools are being stripped from history, summer training sessions are held in Florida where teachers are taught that slavery was hated by the founding fathers of slaveholding and that Christians can’t be separated.

The deranged and vile MSNBC host ended her rant by fretting that conservatives are winning the culture war because “it is not clear that our current politics is capable of stopping any of this, of turning it around and giving us an actual Independence Day. So what are we supposed to do?” Reid asked.

JOY REID: All of this as more than 100 million women and queer folks with uteruses too, woke up to another day in America, basically as state property in the more than 20 fully or partially Republican-controlled states that the Supreme Court’s conservative majority unleashed to literally take physical control of half the population.

The court majority seems to be using its non-elected power quite brazenly in order not only to advance a judicial, constitutional, but a seemingly religious agenda. This is unprecedented for a nation that has been separated from its crown, which leads the national church. They are not the only ones doing it. The Republican Party of America spent several days arguing that 10-year-old girls who were raped at the tender age of 10 should have the same children as their rapists.

It is a 10-year old girl in Ohio, who was actually raped at her family’s house and then had to go to Indiana to have the pregnancy ended. Indiana still hasn’t banned abortion rights.

The state is free for the moment. America’s 10-year-olds face mass shootings when they enter fourth grade classrooms. This is because the court has ruled that guns are more protected than children and women. The court says that police are not under any obligation to rescue you or your children. They are the only ones. This is what they claimed in Akron. Their lives appeared to be in peril.

Today, Florida college professors must disclose to the government what political views they hold so Ron DeSantis, supreme chairman of the board, can be satisfied there are sufficient right-thinking people on his staff. For fear of breaking the “Don’t say gay” law, teachers who identify as gay, lesbian, or bi are forced to return to the closet.

Notice has gone out to corporations that they must not oppose the governor. DeSantis is threatening trans people with the suggestion that child protective services should be ordered to examine parents who allow their children to have drag queen story times. While schools are being stripped from history, summer training sessions are held in Florida where teachers are taught that slavery was hated by the founding fathers of slaveholding and that Christians can’t be separated.

Florida isn’t the only state that’s waging this cultural revolution. America’s situation is very different in July 2022 from it was a year ago. We feel less secure at the grocery store, school and parade.

Our country is further along the path to authoritarianism. We live in constant fear. Yes, our ex-President almost pulled off the coup that was supported by a majority in his party. These same religious archconservatives, on the Supreme Court of the United States, are set to rule in a case which could legalize the next Republican coup. The bad news is here. It’s not obvious that current politics can stop this. What are we to do then?
