We reported earlier about how True North’s Andrew Lawton got pepper-sprayed by the police on Friday, and Rebel News’ Alexa Lavoie was hit multiple times with a police baton and shot with a non-lethal round or canister, hitting her in the thigh.
The Ottawa police claimed that no one had been hurt in the chase against protesters.

Check out this video. Big push from police – we are at the West Block now. We were walking backwards but a tent structure and some hay bales were in the way & people couldn’t get around fast enough. I got knocked over & people fell on me until some protesters pulled me out. pic.twitter.com/0vxLUjQsAv

The police did not force protesters to leave the streets. However, they weren’t attacked by them. You saw scenes such as this, where everyone prayed.

Something that you probably didn’t see at any BLM protests–and hopefully that gets through to some of the police to remember the humanity of everyone involved, including themselves.
Rebel News’ Ezra Levant said that they would be suing the police and government over the assault on the reporter Alexa Lavoie.
4. Alexa and legal counsel have been in touch with me. We will sue the police on Alexa’s behalf.
I know the rest of the Media Party is delighting at Trudeau’s brutality and martial law. However, we believe in freedom of speech and peaceful coexistence.

True North announced that they were going to sue Lawton for pepper spraying.
The story about the police running their horses over the protesters also didn’t go over well in the United State, when it hit Saturday morning. Senator Ted Cruz (R.TX), was one of those who complained about the excessive hand-holding by the government and police.

The head of the Conservative Party is demanding answers for the police’s aggressive actions.
I’m disturbed & saddened by what we are seeing today in Ottawa. This situation was created by the PM & his desire to divide Canadians. It’s time for MPs to return to the House tomorrow to stop the overreach by this government & restore unity, wholeness & hope back to our nation.

This might look familiar — they’re fencing out the house of the Canadian people, so now no one can get in. This is the first time we’ve seen it.

They’re slowly pushing the protesters out of the area, but some are still hanging in there. There are still protests in Canada at other locations, including Toronto.
