‘Program to Make Republicans Feel Good’ NBC Smears Pro-Life Clinics

Do you feel like giving up? Roe V. WadeThey will lash out at everyone who stands in their path of making abortion legal at the state-level. NBC Nightly NewsThe complete and comprehensive smear of Pro-Life Crisis Pregnancy Clinics was done. They help women make decisions about their lives and offer financial support to enable them to survive the birth and into motherhood.

Anchor Lester Holt began the segment whining, There are far more crisis pregnancy centers than there are abortion clinics in the country. Funding them has cost nearly half a trillion dollars from taxpayers in 13 states.“He then went to Cynthia McFadden (senior investigative reporter and legal correspondent) for her “investigative” report, which was nothing more than an untrue job in crisis pregnancy centres.

McFadden instructed her producers to monitor these clinics in an effort to uncover any hidden information. McFadden said, “We are heading to Texas’ crisis pregnancy center. It is just one of more that 2,500 nationwide. The women claim they can provide information about abortion and free services to pregnant women. They don’t disclose that they are often associated with organizations supporting abortion alternatives,” she said.

It was claimed by her that At a Dallas center, a volunteer said that abortions are not offered. He also added that infertility can be caused by aborting. A volunteer replied that they don’t want to make you afraid about taking the abortion pill. The sight of that baby is something you will never forget. After pointing to the small model in plastic, she said: “Can you see one of those in your panties?”

McFadden claims that there was no evidence of this conversation happening during NBC’s broadcast. This makes it difficult for intelligent viewers to believe McFadden.

After that, she interviewed former Republican Rep. Sarah Davis (Democrat Rep. Donna Howard) and her to discuss the accusations.

MCFADDEN: What comes to your mind when I mention alternatives to abortion?

Howard: Wasting money. It is a waste of taxpayer funds. Accountability. There are no indicators that this has any bearing on preventing abortions.

DAVIS – Is it a way for Republicans to feel better about helping women?

What does MCFADDEN do for women?

DAVIS: No.

McFadden asserted that the smears did not end here, but he had no evidence to support his claims. Although some Texas women believe they are, “none” of Texas’s facilities is licensed as medical professionals. One female employee at a center near the border implied that abortions can lead to infertility or cancer. After that, she showed a video claiming they could also cause mental illnesses. It is categorically false.

McFadden questioned the abortion advocates if they would. They “go as far to claim that they may actually be committing fraud in certain instances.”Howard and Davis both said yes.

Pro-life crisis pregnancy centres offer many amazing services to pregnant women who are in dire need. According to the pro-life non-profit Live Action, in 2019 which are the most recently kept records, over 2,700 clinics served almost 2 million people, with free services approaching nearly $270 million in value. These clinics also provided “$139 million in ultrasounds for nearly 500,000 women” as well as “nearly 1.3 million packs of diapers” and “more than two million baby outfits.”

These clinics also offer parenting and prenatal classes to women and provide free STI/STD tests and ultrasounds.

NBC News did not offer evidence supporting their claims. Pro-abortion hacks Cynthia McFadden, Donna Howard, and Sarah Davis should all be ashamed of themselves.

Progressive and Allstate endorsed the disgraceful denigration of pro-life crisis clinics. You can link to their information.

LESTER HOLT: Nationally, there are more crisis pregnancy centres than abortion clinics. They have cost nearly half of a billion dollars from taxpayers in 13 states. Tonight, NBC News explores how they care for patients. Critics warn that they may spread misleading information. Cynthia Mcfadden is reporting from Texas.

CYNTHIA MCFADEN: Today we’re going to a Texas-based crisis pregnancy centre. This center is just one of more that 2,500 nationwide. They claim that they can provide information about abortion and free services for women who are pregnant. However, they do not disclose that they often associate with organizations supporting alternative abortions.

(…)

MCFADDEN – To find out more, we asked two NBC News producers for counseling on pregnancy. A volunteer at a Dallas-area center told our producer that they do not offer abortions and added “abortions may cause infertility.” A volunteer replied that they don’t want to make you afraid about taking the abortion pill. The sight of that baby is something you will never forget.” Then she pointed at a tiny plastic model of the baby and said, “Can you picture one of these in your pants?”

REP. DONNA HOARD: My goodness. Okay.

SARAH DAVIS (Sarah): This is infuriating as a taxpayer. It is terribly unfair for women to hear this and it is also completely inaccurate from a medical perspective.

HOWARD That’s a lie. It is shameful and it is — it’s grotesque.

MCFADDEN: Former Republican state representative Sarah Davis, Texas State Representative Donna Howard is an unlikely ally. They are demanding that these non-profits be regulated, and they demand accountability. Alternatives to Abortion is a program that funds crisis pregnancy centers. They outnumber 9-1 abortion clinics in Texas.

MCFADDEN: What is your first thought when I mention alternatives to abortion?

Howard: Wasting money. It is a waste of taxpayer funds. Accountability. There are no indicators that this has any bearing on preventing abortions.

DAVIS – Is it a way for Republicans to feel better about helping women?

What does MCFADDEN do for women?

DAVIS: No.

MCFADDEN – The Texas government will spend $100 million on the program over the next 2 years.

HOWARD: It’s probably the most glaring program that the legislature has created, at the very least. They basically write a blank check for nothing and don’t even know what they are getting.

MCFADDEN – While the center offers free services such as STD testing and diapering, some Texas centers are not licensed to provide medical care. However, some Texas women claim that they believe they are. A female worker at another facility near the border suggested that abortions could cause infertility and cancer. After that, she showed a video showing how they could also be responsible for mental illnesses. This is all utterly false. The federal government has provided tax dollars for alternative abortions in Texas. In the 15-year period, it has been worth $45 millions. It was intended for temporary aid to families who are in dire need.

HOWARD: This is a desperate situation that requires these funds. It’s instead going to a program providing pamphlets or classes.

MCFADDEN: Do you think they might be committing fraud in certain instances?

HOWARD: Yes.

DAVIS: Yeah.

MCFADDEN: The misinformation is cited by them. A case in which the president of a centre to purchase hemp-growing land was under investigation. Is anyone to blame?

DAVIS

HOWARD: It is true, however the state’s leadership has created an agenda that makes it difficult to engage in a real discussion about the best way for these women and their families to live.

MCFADDEN – Neither Texas Governor nor Lieutenant Governor replied to our request for comment. However, the Charlotte Lozier Institute which is an anti-abortion rights organization told NBC News that centers offer vital services and have a high satisfaction rate of more than 90 percent. Lester?
