Peyton Manning and Eli Must Be Stopped — a Very Real Curse Is Proven With Their Vidcast – Opinion

Peyton Manning and Eli, both retired, make great television. However they are terrible career choices.

ESPN found something that was unique, and it is not offensive for a reason. It has become a woke authority in sports. The network has been insisting on incorporating woke culture and highlighting activism into sports for years while also chasing down some of the most popular talent, or just fun personalities. It is a rare feat for them to provide a hit, so we need to recognize that. While they present Monday Night Football, the Manning Brothers host a satellite broadcast. This is pure enjoyment.

Although it was a simple decision to pair up with the brothers who are now retired, this rare example of surpassing expectations has made it a success. There are many spontaneous moments when the sibling chemistry of this duo shines, and it is more casual than a relaxed atmosphere in which they chatter and haze one another for our mutual benefit. Their shows are not available to the public. This is an enjoyable way to enjoy the game.

As much of a pleasure as their show has been, it turns out — there is a dark side.

There are certain rituals in professional sports that athletes should abstain from. While emotionally-driven fans believe certain activities undertaken in the home imbue their team’s fortunes, players might be even more superstitious. The term “no-hitter” cannot be spoken aloud when a pitcher is in the midst of blanking their opponent. Because the goal of hockey is the Stanley Cup, there are some NHL players who don’t even touch the cup.

Many curses are associated with sports. Some are only for franchises, but others are universal curses that cause widespread misery. Sports Illustrated is long believed to offer one. If they feature a team or player on the cover, it’s not reporting on a previously accomplished feat. The most highly regarded teams would fall, and the players or athletes who were glowingly covered would quickly suffer an injury or career decline. In recent years a newer one emerged in video games — any player featured on the cover of the new release of Madden NFL. Odell Beckham Jr. was not an impact player in the past.

The Mannings now have a curse. On all six broadcasts they had, every week, if an active participant joined, it was lost. Although it was initially a curiosity, I have now seen the issue firsthand and can confirm that there is cause for concern. Travis Kelce, Chiefs QB, was the first broadcast. In week 2, Russel Wilson, Seahawks quarterback joined the broadcasters. Rob Gronkowski and Tom Brady also attended. Next, in week 8 Buffalo Bills’ star Josh Allen visited the team and had a lot of fun. To see Allen’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the weekend, I went to another part of Ohio. I am sorry to say that he didn’t have as much fun.

This was an odd game, in which the Bills did not win and the Quarterback who is the best at quarterback didn’t even get them to the finish. According to one fan it was their first win at home for 2 years. Their first field goal in the U.S. was made. The only kicks they made in London were against the Dolphins. The Jaguars missed three field goals in a row due to penalties.

NFL history was made also when Josh Allen became the Jags’ first linebacker to tackle the QB. Josh Allen also intercepted a Josh Allen pass, and when Josh Allen fumbled it was recovered by — Josh Allen.

You can’t make any sense of it unless you point out a genuine dark curse that has been attached to pure levity.
