People’s Convoy Brings out the Wackos on the Left – Opinion

The oppressive government Justin Trudeau has ended the Canada-wide protests. However, they are continuing to protest in Canada’s major cities, such as Toronto and Calgary.

The People’s Convoy – the American equivalent – has been camped out near Washington, D.C., and periodically circling the Beltway in protest. They’ve had small contingents venture into D.C. but they’re conscious of not getting into any issues with the very liberal establishment there, which would like to paint them negatively.

On Friday, they were confronted by two extreme characters — and the way they responded tells you everything about the opposite sides of this debate: the people that believe in preserving liberty versus the folks on the left who demand that you comply with government dictates and what they want.

The first lady doesn’t want to have a conversation about the issues; she just wants to scream “f**k off.” She can’t constructively present any ideas or discussion. Notice the response to her screaming is polite — they invite her to have a discussion, but she won’t do it.

Attention to graphic language

Then another hilarious moment happened Saturday, when folks on the left were touting the actions of a bicyclist for supposedly slowing down the convoy — as though they were somehow doing some great thing against the convoy.

But part of the convoy’s purpose is to slow roll traffic for the attention, so the bicyclist is in reality helping with that. Ironically, this photo was taken by Shut Down D.C. – a leftist group involved in radical demonstrations and pledging to close down the city. So, it’s funny that they have issues with an actual peaceful protest in D.C.

These were the lovely people.

The prize for prolonged, leftist meltdown must go to the masked person. He’s wearing a mask outdoors–which does nothing to protect against the virus–yet, he’s convinced his virtue-signaling is correct.

Now, what he says borders on the incoherent, he’s so incensed. Why is he so upset? It’s because others are more intelligent than he is. They are so daring!

But the way they respond to him is just perfect — with love and “God bless you.” This only seems to infuriate him all the more — that they aren’t whatever stereotypes he would paint them as. They even tell him to watch out for traffic, so he doesn’t get run over, because he’s so focused on screaming at them that he’s not even conscious of where the cars are.

This is exactly what media and government did with the virus. They’ve taken people and tribalized them like this. It doesn’t matter what the facts are. The left has now flipped on a dime, and the very people they praised a year ago as essential – the truckers – they now believe are somehow racist and evil — because the media and Democrats have painted them so.
