PANIC: The View Denies ‘Red Wave,’ Ignores Historic GOP Win By Latina

The cast of ABC’s The View was in something of a panic Wednesday after several congressional primaries revealed which Republican candidates would be squaring up against Democrats in November in what’s likely to be a massive red wave victory for the right. However, the coven was so in denial they suppressed any mention of red wave. They also completely ignored the historical win by Latina Republican Mayra Flores at a special electoral flipping an area occupied by Democrats since over 100 years.

“I’m a conservative. I’m a Republican. And listening to Russell Fry who unseated Tom Rice, a principled conservative who voted to impeach Donald Trump,” whined guest co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin. “But here’s what I would warn. It’s coming. Republicans are going to win the midterms short of something unforeseen that I cannot predict now.”

Joy Behar and Whoopi goldberg were immediately shocked by this reality, and rushed to prevent the truth from being revealed:

BEHAR: What?! It’s impossible to know this! That’s all you know!

GRIFFIN – All polling suggests that. This is due to high prices for grass, inflation, and that’s what I believe —

Goldberg seemed to suggest that Griffin was trying to keep Democrats from going out and voting if they believed they weren’t going to win:

GOLDBERG: Let us wait to see how the people vote. While I can understand your point of view, let’s not forget that it is their decision. But in your—

GRIFFIN: Yes. Exactly. It’s up to the voters…

With The View constantly calling the GOP “the party of white supremacy,” they wanted to avoid the historic victory of Flores. “She beat Dan Sanchez, the leading Democrat, outright in the closely watched race and will be the first Mexican-born congresswoman. She will get to serve only until January, but Republicans heralded her win as a shot of momentum in their new South Texas offensive,” reported The Texas Tribune.

So, of course, Sara Haines chimed in on Wednesday to suggest “the scary part” about seeing Republican nominees is “we’re talking about basic integrity which is the part that is … become such a shortage.” “And I’m just like, it’s kind of to a point where I’ll just cheer on integrity and character,” she proclaimed.

Prefacing her outlook for the midterm election with the January 6 Committee hearings, co-host Sunny Hostin asserted the red wave would break on those rocks because “people will be more informed.” ”[A]nd so I do agree with Joy. We don’t know that that red wave is coming because that red wave is based on a big lie,” she said.

Directing her rage at Griffin (who’s seemingly desperate for their approval), Hostin started shouting about how Democrats had all the solutions to the nation’s problems, but it was Republicans who were stopping them:

The other thing is you’re talking about inflation. Right? And you’re talking about the baby formula shortage and people are going to — and gas prices and people are going to be upset at Biden for that. But the bottom line is there are solutions to that, and Biden has been pushing solutions. The Senate Democrats have been pushing solutions. The House Democrats have been pushing solutions.

“Republicans at every single turn have been voting against those solutions so that they can campaign on the problems that you are talking about. They’ve been voting against them so that we can’t solve those problems that are affecting everyday Americans, and I think that’s disgusting on the part of your party!” she shrieked.

In reality, the “solutions” they’re proposing only make the problems worse. And with Democrats in control of the House, Senate, and White House, Republicans aren’t standing in the way of anything. It’s their fellow Democrats who are voting against their agenda.

ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: And here’s what’s kind of scary about it. I’m a conservative. I’m a Republican. And listening to Russell Fry who unseated Tom Rice, a principled conservative who voted to impeach Donald Trump, and by the way, who has, like, a 95 percent American Conservative Union score. He’s a true conservative. He’s coming out saying, “No, I’m the real conservative in this race” solely because of his fidelity to Donald Trump.

But here’s what I would warn. The red wave is coming. Republicans are going to win the midterms short of something unforeseen that I cannot predict now.

JOY BEHAR: What? You don’t know that! You don’t know that!

GRIFFIN: All the polling is suggesting that. It’s the high grass prices, inflation, and I’m hoping —

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Let’s wait and see what the people – Let’s wait and see what the people vote. I understand what you are saying, but let’s remind people it’s up to them to make this decision. However, in your–

GRIFFIN: Yes. Exactly. It’s up to the voters, but I would a lot of to see principled Republicans who are not so beholden to Trump win. But last night makes it look like it’s going to be people who denied the election was even won by Joe Biden.

[Crosstalk]

SARA HAINES: There used to be a time where you just spoke of – Sorry Sunny – ideological differences between Republicans and conservatives, and Democrats on the other side. And now the scary part is you’re talking about a divide just within the Republican Party, and we’re talking about basic integrity which is the part that is – I almost – People almost, when we cheer on Liz Cheney here, they say don’t get excited; if you looked at her record, she doesn’t really fall in line with you philosophically.

And I’m just like, it’s kind of to a point where I’ll just cheer on integrity and character because the fact that we’ve become — it’s become such a shortage.

SUNNY HOSTIN: I think people will be more informed, aJoy is right. We don’t know that that red wave is coming because that red wave is based on a big lie—

GRIFFIN: And well, that’s – yes. Yes.

HOSTIN: — and people know that. Another thing to consider is that you are referring to inflation. Right? You’re referring to the shortage of baby formula and people will — and gasoline prices and people will be angry at Biden. There are, however, solutions and Biden has been pushing for them. Solutions have been pushed by the Senate Democrats. The House Democrats are pushing for solutions.

Republicans are voting against solutions to ensure they have the opportunity to campaign for the issues you mention. They’ve been voting against them so that we can’t solve those problems that are affecting everyday Americans, and I think that’s disgusting on the part of your party!

GRIFFIN, I think we should push back —

SUNNY – You can do whatever you want but the truth is that it’s impossible to force back!
