Procrastinators understand how entertainment and sports can influence minds and help them push their agendas.
Orlando Pride F.C. of the National Women’s Soccer League. The club recently apologized to the Black Swans — a supporter’s group for the team — for not allowing the group to display a banner that said “GAY” in the stadium during Sunday’s match against the Washington Spirit in the Challenge Cup. The sign had been interpreted by the team as politically motivated. It was also in violation of its game day signs policies. But, after a quick apology the club claimed that they didn’t understand the full message.
One would be hard-pressed to believe that anyone could have guessed political motive behind a sign which directly refers to the controversial Florida law and current issues of the LGBT Movement. Everybody. The Pride temporarily forgot that its sign policy does not apply to Trumpers or other mouth-breathing people.
See, the “bigger message” the Black Swans was trying to convey was its stance against Florida House Bill 1557, the anti-grooming bill that currently awaits approval from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. As evidenced by their statements after the event, the Pride and Black Swans both oppose the bill.
“It is a privilege and duty to create a safe, inclusive environment at Orlando Pride matches, and the Club deeply apologizes for violating that trust through this incorrect decision. The Black Swans can hang the banner at Pride home matches, if desired. Over its seven-year history, the Orlando Pride and its players have been on the forefront of supporting equality initiatives, both in the local Orlando community and through its online platforms, and it is critical to continue with this mission.”

But what they mean by “safety” is a radical acceptance of an ideology that seeks to fundamentally change how we view basic human identity. Because this message comes from an already loyal sports team, it is unlikely that anyone will be able to question it.
It is sad that an entertainment group has to bow at this altar, even though it seems appalling.
To protest the bill, major corporations such as Disney+, Hulu and ESPN have staged massive walkouts. In an effort to brainwash the public, this ideology is all around and has permeated every form of entertainment, from movies and shows to sports and other forms, for everyone.
If a team, or organization is heading in that direction, it’s not worth our effort to offer money or time. We can only support their efforts to advance this cause if we don’t stop.
