Former Congressman Don Young (R–AK) was invited on Thursday to Chuck Todd’s. Meet the Press now which airs on the streaming network NBC News NOW. Young’s death in March is the only problem.
Zack Brown, Young’s ex-communications director, sent an email on behalf Meet the Press nowBrown asked Chuck Todd if Don Young, the Congressman, was available to be on Chuck Todd’s program tomorrow at 4 p.m. EST. Brown added, “We would love him to be on the programme if his calendar allows”.
In a Thursday tweet with a screenshot of the email, Brown wrote “unfortunately, @chucktodd, I don’t think Congressman Young’s schedule will allow him to be on Meet the PressWith you tomorrow. I’ll be back, if necessary. Thank you for reaching out!

Brown posted his response to the interview request, which said “sadly Congressman Young died in March. But you all paid a beautiful tribute to him.” The link to Todd’s tribute was attached by Brown after Young died on his NBC Show. Meet the Press.

Todd didn’t respond to Brown’s tweet, and Brown did not reveal the identity of the sender.
When reached for comment from Fox News, Brown stated the reply he received after he replied that Young had passed away was “my apologies.”
Brown also noted that Thursday would have been Young’s 89th birthday and that he would’ve found this incident amusing: “I’m sure he got a real kick out of it from the great beyond.”
