I reported the other day about the horrific situation unfolding in Shanghai, and the Chinese government’s insane desire to get to zero-COVID with severe lockdowns — not allowing anyone out of their homes. Many are desperately in need of food and medicines. Parents are getting separated from children if the virus infects them or their parents. People infected with the virus are sent to quarantine centers. The elderly and the sick are dying because some can’t get medical care in the hospitals. People are even rioting because they’re reaching their breaking point with what the government has been doing.
Shanghai, China is the place to be if you want to witness the miserable consequences of lockdowns. In the videos below, people can be heard screaming out their windows after a week of lockdown, with the sense that something terrible was going to happen because “no one knows when this is going to end.”
Is this what the?? The father of a friend and close to me took this video in Shanghai yesterday. It was confirmed by her: After a week in total lockdown and no escaping your apartment, people were screaming from their windows. pic.twitter.com/iHGOO8D8Cz

Drones warn people not to protest, scream or sing on balconies.
As seen on Weibo: Shanghai residents go to their balconies to sing & protest lack of supplies. A drone appears: “Please comply w covid restrictions. Control your soul’s desire for freedom. Do not open the window or sing.” https://t.co/0ZTc8fznaV pic.twitter.com/pAnEGOlBIh

“Please comply w covid restrictions. Control your soul’s desire for freedom. Do not open the window or sing,” the drones command.
To reinforce the lockdown, robot dogs also go out throughout the day. This is truly “through the looking-glass” stuff.
This is the way they broadcast announcements in Shanghai.

Some people try to go out, but then they may be set upon by these guys — people dressed in white PPE suits.
#Shanghai, a starving man took a risk to drive out to get foods, but stopped by police & exchanged quarrel. Unexpectedly, the entire community gave the man the cheers and shouted because they were just as hungry. pic.twitter.com/Y3Pm4MQNxe

Multiple videos show these men beating up people. The government sent thousands of military into the area, so it’s likely the military behind the suits.

But those robot dogs might be the only dogs you’d see, because it’s not a good time for dogs and cats if the owners come down with COVID. They are being euthanized by the government, according to reports. That’s another thing infuriating the people.
The people of #ChinaWe also call on the government not to kill the pets of people who are positive for nutcase or anti-science fanaticism. There are photos of the dead animals but I’m not going to share them. #Shanghai #Covid

Twitter has a clip of cats and dogs in bags being removed, along with what seems to be men in white suits murdering dogs.
The South China Morning Post reports that a corgi ran after a van, with his owners taking him away. They said they thought the dog could spread the virus.
However, the most significant breach in the agreement between government and people is currently the food scarcity.
20) Chinese society’s deepest fight is against the humiliation of poverty & hunger. CCP’s modern social contract is to feed the hungry and provide for their citizens. If CCP fails to deliver on food to its citizens—that is actually the greatest social failure in Chinese eyes! https://t.co/3lCd80ag4T

I don’t agree with Dr. Feigl-Ding a lot, but he’s right here — that this is one of the things that is going to set the people off; we’re seeing it in the videos from the streets.
There’s a lot of madness there, but some of it is also endangering U.S Marines at the U.S. Consulate. One Consulate worker had to use WeChat to ask if anybody could provide food for seven Marines.
“Marines have depleted their food and can no longer get delivery,” the employee told colleagues living in Shanghai.
In the message that was captured by Reuters and verified two times by the employee, the Marines had no remaining vacuum-sealed rations.
“I know we are all running short on supplies. If you can spare a meal’s worth or two for 7 extra mouths, they’d be very appreciative,” the employee said.
Staff responded with supplies, a person said in a later message, adding: “The marines are beyond thankful.”
They do have vacuum-sealed food rations which is more than what the Chinese have. Why is it that the Biden State department leaves them there, trapped in this hellhole and at the mercy CCP? Where’s the response to this from the Biden Administration?
