Nicole Woods teacher sex

Teen Sexually Abused by Female Teacher Says He Sleeps With Knife Because of What She Did to Him

A teen who had sex acts performed on him by a female teacher’s aide told an Australian court Friday that he was “broken” by the abuse.

“Dark days, anger pain, can’t sleep properly, sleep with a knife, cutting myself,” the now 19-year-old man told the County Court of Victoria, according to Australia’s The Hepburn Advocate. “[I’m] not innocent anymore.”

The unidentified teen testified at the sentencing hearing for Nicole Woods, who was 55 when she pleaded guilty in October to two counts of sexual penetration of a child under the age of 16.

Woods was accused of performing sex acts on the boy, who was between the ages of 15 and 16 at the time, as many as 25 times in a five-month period in 2016.

The incidents took place in a teacher’s aide “pod” at the back of a classroom at Staughton College in Melton.

She also sent the boy photographs of her breasts and at one point gave him roughly $50 to repair his mobile phone. Authorities became aware of the abuse when the student shared the explicit images in a Facebook chat and another teacher was alerted.

Woods initially denied the abuse and did not appear for a court hearing in March before pleading guilty on the eve of trial.

The student dropped out of school, has lost his interest in cricket and soccer, cannot work and receives a disability payment, the court heard.

The boy’s mother also testified at the hearing, saying there was “no joy, no laughter” in the family’s life anymore.

“I’ve locked things in a section of my head because if I think about them I fear it will tip me over the edge,” she said.

Woods’ attorney, Jonathan Barrera, said his client at the time was abusing methamphetamine and Panadeine Forte, a pain and fever medication, and her house had been repossessed.

“It was quite a dark time for her,” he said.

Woods, who faces 15 years in prison, remains in custody and has a psychological assessment scheduled before another plea hearing on June 29.

The case is similar to others in which male teens subjected to sexual abused from female educators developed psychiatric issues.

An 18-year-old boy in Nevada committed suicide in 2018 after suffering from “depression, humiliation and embarrassment” following “sexual harassment, molestation and assault” by his teacher.

The accusations came in a lawsuit filed by the boys’ estate against the Elko County School District.

The teacher in question, a mother to two children, was sentenced to serve the maximum 20 years in prison after being convicted of having sex with four minors.
