Groundhog Day is where media wants every day to start in January. At the conclusion of last week, their hot scoop was Kevin McCarthy (House GOP Leader) ranting about Donald Trump’s role encouraging the riot at Capitol Hill and his plans to request the resignation of Trump. McCarthy’s office made a flat deny… and then, they released audio tapes that confirmed that this was not true.
Sunday’s Washington Post It looked like a partisan newspaper with hit articles (and a cartoon!) on McCarthy’s “humiliating pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago” to get along with the ex-president after GOP anger had subsided. The group insisted that McCarthy would be an awful speaker and create more “debates” such as this.
Three years back, however, the paper had been asking bon-bon questions of Nancy Pelosi, Democratic leader, in a newspaper called The Paper. Washington Post MagazineStory on Pelosi’s Moment.
