Over the weekend, a “bombshell” was released by special counsel John Durham, revealing that contractors for the Hillary Clinton campaign were spying on Donald Trump (even into his White House years). Major papers and the networks did not touch this information, sounding like Durham was a leper. Closed-captioning searches revealed that the Fox News and Fox News were the only mentioned sources. Other mentions were AWOL.
Fox News analyst suggested that this was worse than Watergate. However, liberal networks do not use such promotional phrases for Republican scandals as Trump or George W. Bush. Even The New York Times The Washington Post We resisted any talk of developments.
