Nets Spike Serious Concerns Feinstein’s Mind Is ‘Rapidly Deteriorating’

On Thursday, the liberal San Francisco ChronicleA disturbing report was published that included testimonials by an anonymous Democratic congressperson (from California), multiple anonymous ex-staffers and four anonymous senators. These all suggested that Democratic Senator Dianne Frankstein (CA) was unfit for service. This report was not mentioned on the ABC, CBS or NBC flagship newscasts, Friday morning and evening.

According to Chronicle’s report, the California Democrat (a colleague of many years) had a particularly troubling interaction with the Senator where they needed to reintroduce themselves multiple times in the same conversation (Click “expand”):

When a California Democrat in Congress recently engaged in an extended conversation with Sen. Dianne Feinstein, they prepared for a rigorous policy discussion like those they’d had with her many times over the last 15 years.

In fact, the lawmaker claimed that Feinstein had required them to be reintroduced to Feinstein several times over several hours.

Feinstein (88) chose not to delve into the policy. He asked the same questions as the lawmaker, asking him what matters to the voters of their district. The member of Congress replied, but there was no indication that they had had a similar conversation.

Instead of covering this frightening story, like the media did when they wanted the 25 Amendment used against former President Trump, ABC’s World News TonightWe spent a lot of time discussing weather and the latest on the sale Tom Brady’s football. There are many other things. CBS Evening NewsThese businesses were promoting 4-day workweeks and electric airplanes to rich commuters.

They are, for their part NBC Nightly News frowned on Amazon raising shipping rates and touted the Twitter board’s “poison pill” approach to trying to block Elon Musk’s attempt to buy Twitter. But what makes NBC’s lack of coverage of the Feinstein story particularly terrible is that MSNBC had been talking about it pretty seriously.

“California Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein is responding to new questions about her mental fitness after the San Francisco ChroniclePublished a report stating four senators, three former Feinstein staffers, and an incumbent California member of Congress told them that her memory is rapidly deteriorating,”Chuck Todd, NBC’s political director, announced the news Meet the Press Daily.

After noting “Feinstein initially declined to be interviewed for the story,” Todd noted she scrambled to the editorial board. Todd read Feinstein’s words to them: “I meet regularly with leaders. It’s not all my fault. I meet people. Good attendance. It was hard work. This is an enormous state. And so I’m rather puzzled by all this.”

And despite Todd saying the media and folk on Capitol Hill would have open conversations about Senator Strom Thurmond’s mental unfitness, NBC Capitol Hill correspondent Ali Vitali suggested it could be sexism that Feinstein’s mental unfitness was getting so much scrutiny:

There’s also the other piece of this where some people who would defend her are making this a question of gender,We seem to be able to make a bit more allowance, even though this has been done with legislators before. Feinstein is being questioned by many people if we are just asking the same thing of her as a woman of certain ages.

That’s It’s a part of the conversation, too.

But meanwhile, she started her comments by admitting Feinstein’s mental deterioration has been “Something that people whisper about in Congress halls for a while.”

Vitali did seem to take issue with Feinstein’s statement to the editorial board noting Feinstein was bragging about doing “the basics of being a senator[.]” “Someone said to me today she’s not not doing the job,” she recalled.

Her comments suggested that Democrats are merely using Feinstein to get her vote. “[S]he’s showing up, she’s taking votes, she’s voting with a thumbs up on the things the Democrats need her to vote the thumbs up on,”Vitali stated. Wondering: “But at the same time, is it too much to ask that your senators can do more than that?”

This blackout of serious questions surrounding a sitting senator’s mental fitness was made possible by lucrative sponsorships from Allstate on ABC, Xyzal on CBS, and Flonase on NBC. The links below provide their contact information.

California Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein responds to questions regarding her mental health after the San Francisco ChroniclePublished a report that four Senators and three ex-Feinstein staffers as well as a California incumbent member of Congress said she is experiencing memory loss. Feinstein was elected into the Senate at the age of 88. [in] 1992.

Ali, I’ll simply ask you. There are often people in the United States Senate who are older than you. When I arrived, Strom Thurmond was the topic that would be discussed. This is the kind of conversation everybody has on Capitol Hill. Then there’s this published report. This published report was so surprising!

ALI VITALI – I believe that this is the point when conversations on Capitol Hill kind of blend with the public conversation. This is because it’s something that people whisper about in Congress halls for a while now.

It does seem to go back to what the basic requirements are for a senator. You seen Feinstein in the statement saying, ‘I see people, I have attendance.’ Someone said to me today she’s not not doing the job, which is to say she’s showing up, she’s taking votes, she’s voting with a thumbs up on the things the Democrats need her to vote the thumbs up on. It is not unreasonable to wonder if your senators are capable of doing more.

That is what I believe to be the question.

There’s also the other piece of this where some people who would defend her are making this a question of gender, saying that even though we’ve seen this with lawmakers before but when its men like Senator Strom Thurmond or Thad Cochran, we seem to have a little bit more of an allowance for it. Feinstein is being questioned by some people about whether they are asking her this because she’s a woman at a certain age.

This is part of the discussion, regardless of whether we are being unjust about the gender aspect.
