Devon Archer, a former business partner to Hunter Biden was sentenced Monday to more than a year imprisonment for his participation in a scheme that defrauded a Native American tribe by securing bonds worth over $60 billion. Not surprisingly, all three evening newscasts completely ignored this news of the President’s son’s business partner going to federal prison.
While ignoring this report, ABC’s World News TonightCBS Evening News & NBC Nightly News All of us had time to panic over global warming. CBS, however, was able to cover a crash that saw a truck go off a bridge into the river.
According to a report in the New York Post, which did manage to report on Hunter Biden’s business partner, Devon Archer was sentenced to one year and one day in federal prison by Manhattan Judge Ronnie Abrams.
“There’s no dispute about the harm caused to real people,” Judge Abrams said. Archer will be sentenced to 15 million dollars in jail and $43 million economic restitution.
Archer was charged with purchasing $60 million of bonds from Oglala sioux Native American tribe. It is the nation’s poorest tribe. Instead of using them for an annuity, Archer used the bonds to “build a financial services mega-company.”
Adams claims that Archer didn’t receive any financial benefits from the scheme.
Archer has a long history of illegal activities, even though neither Biden was involved in the scheme. Archer was found guilty of conspiring to commit securities fraud in 2018.
It isn’t the first time that the networks have looked away when Hunter Biden was involved in legal issues. Back in January, all three evening newscasts ignored Hunted Biden’s close friend Karim Massimov being charged with treason in Kazakhstan during violent protests caused by a spike in gas prices in the region.
The latest example of three networks that cover the Bidens’ was created by WeatherTechABC News AssureCBS News, Liberty MutualNBC. They are linked.
