NBC’s Todd Mocks ‘Thoughts & Prayers’, Dismisses 2nd Amendment

On Sunday’s Meet the PressChuck Todd, the anchor of the show, ridiculed the requests for prayers and thoughts for the two teachers and nineteen children who died in the massacre at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.

Todd chose to join the American people in praying for the victims of the shooting and their families. Instead, he mocked them by accusing the Republican Party as hollow jokers.

“It’s become our uniquely American ritual of words after each episode of this uniquely American serial tragedy” Todd said smugly. We can only think and pray. This could not have been stopped by any law. Mental illness is what really matters. Only if all the victims could have been armaged. More thoughts and prayers.”

“How do we allow an 18-year-old, in this case, Salvador Ramos, to buy assault rifles and accumulate more than 1600 rounds of ammunition, all legally, mind you” Todd whined before trying to tie this tragedy in with the Democrat Party’s other agenda items: “Whether it’s guns, or climate change, or protecting our democracy. We no longer have a politics that can meet these crucial moments that we face.”

Todd continued his kvetching that “No member of Congress has been voted out of office for being too pro-gun. Not one!” Adding that “Until the majorities who claim they want tougher background checks and to get assault weapons off the street, vote like they mean it. We can expect to hear more calls for thoughts and prayers and that’s it.”

The undercover Democrat Party activist then got in a parting shot at the Republican Party and the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution: “Because this current version of the Republican Party is being held hostage by a vocal minority obsessed with an absolute right that does not exist.”

It’s interesting that Todd thinks that having an abortion is an absolute right, despite the fact that the word “abortion” appears nowhere in the document. Yet, somehow the right to keep and bear arms isn’t an “absolute right.”

This delusional segment of NBC TV was made possible thanks to Charles Schwab. The information of both is linked.

CHUCK TODD: Unfortunately, this has become our American custom of saying something after every episode of the uniquely American serial tragedy. We can only pray and think, but there is nothing that we can do. This could not have been stopped by any law. Mental illness is what really matters. Only if all the victims could have been armies. Prayers and thoughts. What is the legal way to allow Salvador Ramos (18 years old) to purchase assault rifles legally and accumulate over 1600 rounds of ammunition? Whether it’s guns, or climate change, or protecting our democracy. These are the crucial moments we now face and there is no politics to meet them.

The deaths of two Texas teachers and 19 children in Uvalde (Texas) will not change the situation. Unlikely. Sandy Hook was not the first graders’ murder. For being pro-gun, no member of Congress was voted out. None! Vote like you mean it until those who say they would like tougher background checks or to ban assault weapons from the streets are elected. We can expect to hear more calls for thoughts and prayers and that’s it. This is because the Republican Party’s current form has been taken hostage by a minority that believes they have an absolute right.
