5 Tips For Preparing Your Car Before An Auto Transport

My Favorite Car Models

When shopping for a new car, Diego Ruiz Duran wanted the best in comfort, performance, and speed. He wanted to be noticed when he pulled up to the valet. He wanted to hear the murmurs of the onlookers as he stepped out and tossed the keys to the attendant. He wanted status. He wanted the Dream Car.

First, he took the 2015 Ferrari 458 Italia for a ride. This model of Ferrari was introduced back in 2009, and it took the place of the 430 in the line. Under the hood, the 458 has an F136 V8 engine that packs 597 horsepower. This baby can fly, as it does 0-60 in about three seconds flat; making it one of the fastest cars on the planet at the time of production.

Duran wanted to see if American muscle could compare with the sleekness of Ferrari, so he hopped in the 2019 Dodge Charger. With 485 horses under the hood, roaring from a Hemi V8 engine, he could feel the power. He also enjoyed the roomy interior; something the Ferrari lacked. He was turning some heads driving by in the Charger.

Next up, he wanted to feel the smooth clean ride of German engineering. His choice: The 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. With a 0-60 speed of 3.5 seconds, and the smooth shifting of the gears, He barely noticed that he was quickly approaching 100 mph. Another feature he enjoyed was the vented disc brakes at both the front and the rear of the vehicle.

Ask any adolescent boy what his favorite sports cars are, and no doubt this next classic is on the list, The Porsche 911. However, he wanted the top of the line when it came to the 911. So he found the Holy Grail of the icon: The GT1. This Porsche is so rare that there’s a better chance of seeing Bigfoot than catching a glimpse of this beauty. It tops out at 193 mph, with a 536 horsepower V6 Boxer engine. The handling is just as smooth, as it is fast, hugging the corners ever so snug. The GT1 has definitely climbed the ranks on Duran’s list.

Great Britain was the next stop on the Dream Car world tour. He drove the 2016 McLaren 675LT Spider. This car is blazing fast, as it goes 0-60 in a mind-blowing 2.8 seconds. A devilish 666 horsepower coming from the 7-speed automatic engine, this car tops off at 203 mph. When this car goes past, it will leave a wake in its path. Also, it is surprisingly fuel-efficient for an exotic car as it gets 20 miles per gallon.

The time has come for Diego Ruiz Duran to make his choice. Would it be American muscle? Perhaps German engineering won out. Or maybe the exotic feel of a British speed demon. In this case, He has decided on the class and stature of the Italian beauty: The 2015 Ferrari 458 Italia wins the day.
