MSNBC Host: U.S. Are Hypocrites on Russia Using Chemical Weapons Since Police Use Tear Gas

She will be on the MSNBC Saturday Morning Show Cross Connection, host Tiffany Cross equated police in the United States to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s military inflicting mass chaos and death on the Ukrainian people in an unprovoked war. What was her motivation? Well, she deemed it “hypocritical” for the U.S. to condemn the potential use of chemical weapons by Russia given that the police used tear gas on Black Lives Matter protesters.

Cross was speaking alongside Obama Assistant Secretary to Defense Andy Weber. The United States strongly opposes chemical weapons. But, here in the United States police still use teargasIt is a chemical weapons, and it’s right here in America. This is a little bit. hypocritical, perhaps? We’ve witnessed tear gas, Particularly During the Black Lives Matter demonstrations?

Weber stated that the treaty prohibiting chemical weapons’ use in crowd control is an exception. Weber, oddly enough, referred to this exception as “loophole”It was as though it were something the treaty negotiators unwittingly overlooked. It’s actually clearly stated as an exception.

Cross reluctantly accepted Weber’s explanationUnd er antwortet: “Okay. You’re the expert.” The chemical weapons convention had outlawed use of riot control agents, I believed.

Cross and Weber both failed to make the distinction between the tear gas that is used in the United States and chemical weapons Russia claims it has. The effects of tears gas usually last between 15 and 30 minutes.

Russian chemical weapons on the other hand are highly lethal. This is according to the Russian chemical weapons. Washington Post article, A teaspoonful of this Russian chemical could kill thousands.

Liberals such as Cross will always blame America First, especially when it comes down to condemning the police efforts to manage it and defending BLM riots.

Cross’s insane comments were made possible thanks to the endorsement of advertisers such as Progressive, Kayak, Applebee’s, Chase, and VisionWorks. The following link contains their contact information.

TIFFANY CROSS: U.S. officials say that Russia may be plotting a quote-unquote false flag operation, in which they would deploy chemical or biological weapons, and then blame Ukraine for doing so. Russia says it is in compliance with all international agreements that prohibit the use of banned weapons. The spectre of chemical and biological warfare (like nuclear power) has hovered over the conflict since the beginning and could really elevate this entire thing.  Andy Weber, a senior fellow for the Council on Strategic Risk, is joining me. He is a Council on Strategic Risk senior fellow. Under President Obama, he was also Assistant Secretary to Defense for Nuclear and Chemical Defense Programs.

ANDY WEBER : It is clear that we have very strong intelligence about their plans to use biological or chemical weapons. To put them on notice and to try to deter, they have been publicly disclosed. Also, it has been communicated privately via our national security advisor for the Russian national security assistant, General Patrushev. There are many possible uses for them. They could assassinate military or political leaders. They could also use the device to demolish buildings. It could be used on military battlefields. It could be used to attack bomb shelters because chemicals can penetrate buildings. It is an awful form of war. International conventions ban it. It would be barbaric, and even horrific, if Russia crossed that line.

CROSS: How did these chemical weapons get to countries?

WEBER: The ones used in the attacks on Navalny, and Salisbury against Colonel Skripal, were created in secret Russian military labs. Their use of chemical weapons in peacetime during those attempts proves that they violate the Chemical Weapon Convention, which bans the making and stockpiling.

CROSS However, it’s quite fascinating. BecauseThe United States strongly opposes chemical weapons. But, tear gas is used by police in America. It is a chemical weapons agent. So, Perhaps this is a bit too hypocritical. We have seen tear gas, especially during Black Lives Matter protests. I’m just curious your thoughts on the use of chemical weapons in law enforcement while we’re telling other countries they shouldn’t use it. Perhaps these should be avoided by everyone. It’s a question that I would like to know your thoughts.

WEBER: Well, The chemical weapons convention has a loophole that allows for the use so-called “riot-control” agents. This is legal. But, the use of it in war, such as if Russia used any kind of chemical weapon against Ukraine, would constitute a violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention.

CROSS: Umm, okay. You’re the expert. You’re the expert. Ah, well, maybe you mean in war, but perhaps not in law enforcement. It’s there.

WEBER: Correct.
