MSNBC: GOP ‘Syndicate’ Just Trying to Raise Money With Durham Story

On Friday’s edition of The 11th Hour on MSNBC, host Chris Jansing derisively claimed that the reason why Republicans were talking about the latest filing from Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation is because the GOP just wants to fire up its base and raise money.

Jansing, a top grifter from The Lincoln Project to continue accusing the Republican Party as a criminal “syndicate”, was amazing. Talking Stuart Stevens, Jansing wondered:

…after days of wall-to-wall conspiracy theories that a filing by Special Counsel John Durham, was somehow proof of Hillary Clinton’s spying on Trump. Durham poured cold water on the narrative. He called it ‘misinterpreted.’ I wonder if this is a story outside of right-wing media, and even if it isn’t, is it the kind of story that keeps the base fired up, and the GOP wants a fired up base, obviously?

The Lincoln Project senior adviser immediately dismissed the story, claiming Hillary Clinton was old news and that the GOP has no policy agenda: “You know, it’s been a long time since Hillary Clinton was secretary of State and ran for president. The fact that Republicans are talking about this is — is just sort of pathetic. It is not a matter of policy. There is no — no policy in the Republican Party –”

Jansing chimed in, “but they know Stuart, when they do this and they put it on emails, people send them money.” 

Stevens was unafraid to be a mad hypocrite.

I think it’s all about money, as most corrupt organizations are. Republican Party really is not a functioning as a regular political party, it’s like a syndicate. It is like OPEC. OPEC exists because it sells oil. It trades oil. It sells oils.

Meanwhile, Democrats such as California Congressman Adam Schiff actually are fundraising off of the reaction to Durham:

Stevens began a tirade about the overall state of Republican Party politics after leaving Durham. After blasting the party for not being fans of Liz Cheney and predicting Kevin McCarthy won’t be the next speaker, Stevens suggested the party was full of racists:

I think what’s happening with the Democrats is a function of having a very diverse party, 85% of the Trump coalition was white. It’s very different, but it doesn’t address where America is going, and it’s why Republicans are so desperate to change these voting laws, because they know that the ground is shifting under their feet.

The ground is shifting under MSNBC’s feet, because even if “spying” is too provocative a term, it doesn’t justify those associated with the Clinton campaign and the DNC who sought access to data in order to concoct a false Russia collusion narrative.

Look at what happened with Liz Cheney.
