Reporting on Sunday from Robb Elementary, that the interior surveillance video showed responding officers not opening any of the classroom doors where the shooter and his victims could be seen was a revelation. Per Bonchie
The shooter shot for twelve minutes without police intervention. He entered an unlocked door and was followed into the room by police a few minutes later. According to their own confession, the police barricaded him inside the room. The police refused to allow entry, and instead sat in the same room for nearly an hour while a Border Patrol team arrived.
Before this surveillance video was taken, police had claimed that they tried to get into the room but were stopped by gunfire. We now know they didn’t even try to enter the room and instead chose to flee like cowards from their duties to serve and protect.
Further, a mother who entered the school to rescue her children recently revealed that the shooting inside the classroom continued well after the police arrived (again, contradicting initial claims by police that the shooter had killed everyone within a few minutes). The shooter was executionist and police just stood there. That’s so unconscionable that it makes me feel sick to my stomach just to write.
Monday, additional disturbing information came to light, as interior footage showed multiple responding officers inside the school with rifles and a ballistic shield as of 11:52 a.m., within 19 minutes of the shooter’s arrival, and almost a full hour before officers entered the classroom.
BREAKING NEWS: At least two officers were present at Robb Elementary school with guns and at most one ballistic shield on the day of shooting. New footage and other evidence supports this claim. They didn’t enter the classroom for another 58 minutes. Stay tuned for more information @statesman @KVUE. 1/2 pic.twitter.com/0BcYgq2hcQ

Per KVUE:
The video shows multiple officers inside the building, with at least one shield and rifles, just 19 minutes after gunman arrived. They didn’t enter the classroom the shooter was inside for nearly another hour.
This is a sign that they have more firepower than they needed to get into the classroom. Investigators think this to be significant.
…
Following revelations by the Texas DPS that officers had waited over 70 minutes for the shooter to be confronted, and trapped students calling 911 for assistance, law enforcement’s May 24 response has come under scrutiny.
According to the most recent timeline officers broke into the classroom around 12:50 p.m. The shooter entered the classroom at 11:33 am.
KVUE offers a video that explains the entire timeline:
According to reports, officers became impatient with their response, according to audio taken from the bodycam video.
The fact that the officers had enough firepower and protection in order to reach the classroom ahead of them is believed by investigators to be significant. Officers were growing impatient far sooner: “If there’s kids in there we need to go in there,” one said on body camera video.

We still have to know why they waited so much to make this happen.
