A new poll obliterated the liberal media’s attempts to hypnotize Americans into believing that a leftist green agenda is preferable to lower gas prices and U.S. energy independence.
However, to the horror and disgust of Al Gore fans and radical environmentalists alike, eco-brainwashing doesn’t seem to have had any effect on the American people.
Rasmussen Reports’ recent survey revealed that 70 percent of potential voters support increased U.S. crude oil and gas production, in an effort to decrease dependence on imports. Only “18% oppose a policy of encouraging U.S. energy independence,” according to Rasmussen. The Washington Post claimed that buying an electric vehicle is one of the best ways to help the environment because gas-powered cars are “wasteful” “bad for the environment.”
The poll surveyed 1,000 “U.S. Likely Voters” and took place on March 3 and 6.
ABC World News Tonight, CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly NewsThe poll was completely ignored by the hosts of their March 7 evening show.
The Washington PostBloomberg News and liberal media outlets like Bloomberg News have called repeatedly for Americans to abandon gas-powered vehicles in favor of so-called environmentally-friendly options like electric cars. Post opinion columnist Catherine Rampell even said the quiet part out loud in a Feb. 10 op-ed: “In the long run, we want incentives that entice people to shift their behavior toward less greenhouse-gas-intensive technologies.”
Elon Musk, founder of Tesla Motors, is however the CEO. tweeted that soaring gas prices demands increased production: “Hate to say it, but we need to increase oil & gas output immediately. Extraordinary situations call for extraordinary measures.” Musk also conceded that producing more oil and gas might hurt his business: “Obviously, this would negatively affect Tesla, but sustainable energy solutions simply cannot react instantaneously to make up for Russian oil & gas exports.”

At a Clean Transit event in March 7, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Vice President Kamala Harris stated different things. Harris opined: “Imagine a future” where the freight trucks and vehicles that support the economy “produced zero emissions.” Buttigieg absurdly claimed at the same event that Americans from “rural to suburban to urban communities can all benefit from the gas savings of driving an EV.”
Money.com reports that in April 2021, the average price of an electric car was $51,532. Does this matter to Leftists? A Department of Housing and Urban Development report found that the average American household had a budget of $79,000.
It seems some don’t mind the cost of EVs. Stephen Colbert (talk show host, comedian) gave Americans a moralizing lecture about why it was wrong to pay higher gasoline prices. He said: “A clean conscience is worth a buck or two.” He continued, “I’m willing to pay $4 a gallon. Hell, I’ll pay $15 a gallon because I drive a Tesla.”
Conservatives are being attacked. Contact ABC News (818) 460-7477, CBS News (212) 975-3247 and NBC News (212) 664-6192 and demand they report on Rasmussen’s poll and stop pretending that EVs will save Americans from high gas prices.
