Massive Blow to the FBI After Gretchen Whitmer Kidnapping Verdict Drops – Opinion

If you’ve followed the saga of the supposed plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, you’ve been privy to a variety of twists and turns over the last year or so. These include the possibility that the FBI organized the whole thing in order to trap people and strengthen a politically-motivated narrative (i.e. that the “right” is a domestic terror threat to Democrats. It fits perfectly into the agenda that was being promoted before 2020.

Multiple pieces of evidence showed that FBI agents were involved in organizing the plot and convincing disturbed and vulnerable men to follow it. One FBI agent was even arrested for abusing his wife. What is the reason for this? This makes it seem like politics is the core of all things.

Now, we’ve got the verdicts in the trial of two of the men charged over the ordeal, and they represent a massive blow to the FBI’s credibility.

Jurors on Friday acquitted two men of conspiring to kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, a Michigan woman, said that they had reached a deadlock on two other charges. This was a major defeat for federal prosecutors, who were involved in the most high-profile domestic terrorist cases since decades.

Six men and six ladies convicted Brandon Caserta, Daniel Harris of all the charges. They did not decide on Barry Croft or Adam Fox. The men were accused of conspiring to rob Ms. Whitmer (a Democrat) from her 2020 vacation home.

Federal prosecutors and F.B.I. listened as the verdicts were read. The agents sat silently while Mr. Harris or Mr. Caserta hugged each other.

“Obviously we’re disappointed in the outcome,” Andrew Birge, the United States attorney for the Western District of Michigan, said outside the courthouse. He added: “We still believe in the jury system, and really, there’s not too much more I can say at this time. It was a pleasure to see the dedication of the jury. They listened to a lot of evidence, deliberated quite a bit.”

The jury also hung regarding the charges against two other men, which means is pretty much a clean sweep of failure for the government’s case. What is the secret to this? As the links to previous RedState reports show, there were a lot evidence of FBI misconduct. This includes the way that everything began and the informants used to build prosecutions. The evidence against these men was largely based on text messages and less formal rhetoric. Apparently, the jury was not impressed by how all this went down, and it’s good to see that the legal system can still sometimes smell a rat when there is clearly one present.

It was revealed that Whitmer’s kidnapping and murder attempt wasn’t serious. Rather, some men of less than solid repute were herded and groomed to be part of a plot that never would have taken place without the FBI’s involvement. That’s not how any of this is supposed to work. It isn’t supposed that domestic terrorist plots were invented by government to promote the narratives of one party. Yet, that’s exactly what it seems happened here.

And don’t kid yourself — none of this happened right before the 2020 election by accident. There’s no doubt in my mind the FBI and DOJ wanted Donald Trump to lose, and what better way to help that along than to make it seem as if his supporters were domestic terrorists?

The FBI and DOJ continue to see their credibility collapse, and it’s well deserved.
