U.S. U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R.FL) has not given the NBA any latitude for using the Rob Elementary School shooting to promote more gun control, while totally overlooking China’s atrocities.
Before Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics, Miami PA announcer Michael Baiamonte pleaded with the crowd to contact your state’s senators …t o leave a message demanding their support for common sense gun laws.”
Rubio saw this and called out the league’s hypocrisy for politicizing a tragedy within U.S. borders, while blatantly overlooking the egregious and long list of human rights atrocities within China’s borders.
It @NBA doesn’t like to talk about the billions they make from a China that enslaves Uyghur Muslims and harvests their organs
However, they are not afraid to politicize a terrible American tragedy pic.twitter.com/VUXpOBbw7j

To further add a comical level of irony to the whole situation, the Heat’s owner, Micky Arison, has invested $375 million in a Chinese shipbuilding firm that builds ships for China’s Navy (nothing like using your team to promote values that could tear at the fabric of our country while funding the military initiatives of one of America’s worst enemies). The entire league currently has $5 billion worth of business deals with China. This country wants the rest the world to think that it treats the Uyghurs as if they were normal business.
NBA, don’t forget the good you can control.
