Trump organized a Casper rally to support Harriet Hageman (RINO-WY) in his reelection bid. He spoke to a packed crowd. You can see the video evidence of it.

But I noticed as I was covering the event last night, that folks on the left were trying to spread shots of the arena before Trump got there — before most of the people had gotten there — claiming that the rally was not full and was a “failure.” But that’s random people on the internet; you wouldn’t think that ‘journalists’ would try to spread that bilge. Well, unless you haven’t been watching the media melt down and burn all their credibility for the last several years.
But Twitchy picked up a story that shows what a failure “journalists” are at even the most basic fundamentals of journalism.
Liberal rag Raw Story ran the claim that Trump couldn’t fill the arena as a “breaking story.” How desperate are they to dunk on the man? He’s still living rent-free in their head.

Was that the story they were based on? Bryan Schott (from the St. Louis Trib) tweeted the following at 13:39. It shows the stage at that time.
It is now about thirty minutes until the Trump rally in Casper, and we have a lot of empty seats.

But Trump wasn’t speaking until 4:00 p.m., not 2:00 p.m., and Schott even notes he doesn’t know how many people were still in line waiting to get in. Answer: a lot.
Raw Story was less concerned about the truth than it was with the narrative. They could have verified their facts if they had just looked at the numerous shots and videos from the arena that were available from Newsmax, RSB, and any other local source. But they apparently didn’t bother to do that and posted a tweet with their story at 5:33 p.m.
But Schott later updated his report at 6:33 p.m., noting he hadn’t been able to post an update earlier, and explaining that the arena was packed.

On Saturday, nearly 10,000 Trump supporters came from all over the area to attend a Trump rally at Casper. Many more people gathered outside the Ford Wyoming Center to celebrate the 45th president and advocate for conservative policies in politics.
What did they do when they realized they were wrong? They “updated” the story, rather than just pulling it, and changed the headline to a weaselly effort to still take a whack at Trump, “Trump finally filled Wyoming arena at rally against Liz Cheney: report.” But the tweet that they put up is still up and still misleading people, which shows they don’t have a lot of ethics.
The crowd was packed and the numbers show Cheney trailing Hageman by 30 points at the moment, with August’s primary. Cheney had already been assured the boot but Trump added the cherry.
