On Tuesday, we brought you the story of how Quintez Brown, 21 — a BLM activist who had appeared on the Joy Reid show pitching against guns for the March for Our Lives groups — had been arrested for the attempted assassination of Louisville mayoral Democratic candidate, Craig Greenberg.

Brown was an intern at the Louisville Courier-Journal and an editor columnist.
Fox News
In July 2020, as a student at the University of Louisville, Brown was honored by the Obama Foundation’s MBK Rising initiative and was one of only a handful of students in the country to attend the inaugural national gathering of the Obama Foundation’s My Brother’s Keeper Alliance.
“I better my community for the boys that look just like me by changing the narrative around violence, masculinity, and professionalism,” Brown said in a statement still featured on the foundation’s website.
Brown told local media around the same time that he demonstrated in Louisville “every day” during the Floyd unrest, and he cheered local efforts to remove police officers from schools.
Brown ran for the city council.
Liberal media are liberal media. Unfortunately, they almost always ignore stories like these.
The Las Vegas Sun went one step further and showed no shame. They didn’t ignore the story — they used it as an effort to attack Republicans and President Donald Trump — with a twisted spin editorial that has to win the award for gall.
Holy f*ck, @LasVegasSun. Quintez brown, the accused shooter was identified by BLM activists as left-wingers. This editorial was written in response to Quintez Brown’s arrest. https://t.co/oZ2lEl71Lq pic.twitter.com/JG9Td1kQ5d

An alleged 21-year old political activist was taken into custody near the crime scene. He was later charged with attempted murder and four counts each of wanton danger.
While there’s been no indication yet that the activist had ties to any right-wing organizations, the shooting comes amid a rise in threats against politicians fueled by increasingly violent rhetoric coming from extremist Republicans.
Oh, my, really? It’s a shame.
They then blame Trump for the rise in political threat and say that all of it is because of Republicans, despite many years of violence from leftists and attacks against Republican politicians.
Given that the GOP has largely fueled this problem, it holds the lion’s share of the responsibility for addressing it. Republicans need to condemn in strongest terms any members of their party who encourage or suggest political violence. Ex-presidents as well as sitting senators are included. [….]
These menacing threats should never be allowed to stop Americans from trying to better the lives of those they care about.
This time around, however, there was no injury in the shooting at Louisville. But unless talk of Americans attacking other Americans is driven back, there will be more similar incidents — and many more chances that those incidents will be bloody.
“This time” — as though this assassination attempt were part of this “Republican threat” they are postulating. And Republicans must condemn this threat — allegedly from a BLM activist?
Now, this editorial was posted at 2 a.m. Feb. 16, long after Quintez Brown had been identified and even after he pled not guilty, so they can’t even pretend not to know who was behind it. It is a mystery to them why Americans aren’t more trusting media. One billion. I’d call it unbelievable but at this point, unfortunately, it isn’t. The media is not ashamed anymore.
