L.A. County Sheriff Rebuffs Los Angeles’ Mandatory COVID Regime After Disturbing Information Arises – Opinion

Los Angeles County Sheriff Michael A. Garcia sent out a statement stating that he will not cooperate with the Los Angeles County company to implement a COVID-19 registration mandatory program. After disturbing information was discovered about the backgrounds, policies and connections of the company that helped to implement the program, the Sheriff of Los Angeles County issued a letter stating this.

Fulgent Genetics, according to Bill Melugin has been shown to have links with the Chinese in an FBI briefing to Sheriff Alex Villanueva. They also have a public disclaimer stating that they can share information to foreign agencies. There are many things that could go wrong.

Los Angeles County had previously mandated registration with Fulgent Genetics, citing it as part of a “vaccine passport” system applying to all public employees. The second letter shows that threats of termination were made in response to this mandate. Yet, their own website warns that they “may store, process, and transmit personal information in locations around the world, including locations outside the country or jurisdiction where you are located.” Further, it encourages people to not register with Fulgent Genetics if they wish to avoid that happening.

There are obviously some big privacy issues at play here regardless, but most concerning are this company’s connections to the Chinese. Is it really worth the risk of personal data of US law enforcement personnel being given to the top US enemy communists? Is there anything that could go wrong?

LASD had no other choice than to ignore the county and create their own COVID-19 testing systems. Villanueva has butted heads with leadership in the past, refusing to enforce mask mandates, calling them “unscientific.” He’s also directly combated the harmful, radical policies of LA District Attorney George Gascón. We’ll have to see how Los Angeles County officials respond to being rebuffed yet again.
