Remember: Who’s Biden’s border czar, you ask? We seem to remember that it’s Kamala Harris—even if, after more than a year in office, she hasn’t managed to make it to the actual border. Yet there was Tiffany Cross—a huge Harris fan—on her MSNBC show Saturday morning, in effect accusing Biden-Harris of a racist double-standard immigration policy favoring white Ukrainians over asylum seekers from Central America and Africa.
Cross teased the segment with the question, “What is the deal with this double standard?” After that, she brought in a guest for the claim. Border Patrol agents consider non-Spanish speaking whites to be deserving better treatment because “our immigration system was always built on ideas about race.”
A clip was also shown. CBS Evening News Alejandro Mayorkas from DHS was confronted by Norah O’Donnell, host of the O’Donnell Show. Cross lashed out at Mayorkas’ statement to O’Donnell, that he told Central American asylum seekers to avoid the “dangerous trip” and to follow other paths that had been established.
Cross claimed that Cross was seeing a double standard.
I heard the secretary saying that “Are you willing to take the risky journey? I wonder what that sounds like for Ukrainians now.Stay there. Stay there.”It’s exactly the same problem that Central American migrants are experiencing.
But that is not the truth. However, it’s true that Central America can be difficult and even dangerous for some. However, the death and destruction that Ukraine has suffered is far worse. Images of war crimes perpetrated in Ukraine by Russians are some of the most disturbing images of World War II.
Cross is one of many identity-politics Leftists who view the world and almost every topic through a racist lens. Cross did she realize that when she accused America of racism in immigration policy, Cross was also condemning Kamala Harris and Biden?
Progressive sponsored Tiffany Cross’ MSNBC appearance, where she accused the United States and comparing it to a racism double standard. The accusation that Tiffany Cross made about America applying racial discrimination for asylum seekers by favoring Central Americans over Africans, while Tiffany Cross was on MSNBC.

10:16 am ETTIFFANY Cross: President Biden promises to speed up entry for 100,000 Ukrainians. We’re asking What’s the deal with this double standard
. . .
Ukrainians face the same discrimination as Central American and African asylum seekers. The same goes for them, fleeing from violence, dictatorships and gang warfare as well cartel terrorists. Why is it that some countries have greater sympathy for certain groups than others?
SAMAH SIAY: We are grateful. Yes. Unfortunately, what I see is this. Our immigration system was built around ideas about race. What is the right treatment? Many Ukrainians, who have arrived at the Mexico/US border from Ukraine, are in detention and having difficulties navigating the asylum process. But they’re allowed to enter. It’s not like this for many immigrants coming from Central America and African countries fleeing violence.
Unfortunately, I believe that our immigration system is based on race since the beginning. This is why the discretion that the Border Patrol agents are afforded when they see someone who is white, who is non-Spanish-speaking, is this idea that maybe they’re coming from actual places that need help or are facing actual violence. We’ve been repeatedly told by the media that Central Americans and people from other countries come to the U.S. only for work and that they are not fleeing violent situations.

[Clip from CBS Evening Show.]
NORAH O’DONNELL Do we have a double standard?
ALEJANDRO MAIORKAS: No.
O’DONNELL – We have just received Manny Mayorkas from the border. Roxanna Ruiz-Ramirez, from Honduras, was also there. Her wait for asylum has been nine months. Gang threats have threatened her life. How do you respond to Roxanna and other migrants?
MAYORKAS – What we mean is: Avoid taking the risky journey. An asylum system has been demolished. We’re building it again. We offer alternative routes to obtain relief according the United States laws.

CROSSAre you willing to take this dangerous trip? I wonder what that would be like for Ukrainians facing the same situation right now. And someone else says “Don’t go on the dangerous route!”“Stay there,” Stay there.”It’s exactly the same problem that Central American migrants are experiencing.
