As you know, whenever Vice President Kamala Harris talks in public, it is filled with nonsense, absurdity, and word salads. This was evident during the Monday one-on-one she had with CNN anchor Dana Bash as previously reported.
Harris was unable to answer questions regarding the Supreme Court’s decision to reverse the ruling. Roe V. Wade and what the administration planned on doing to “help” women in the aftermath, one answer she was InitiallyBash asked Bash if she would run the ticket for President Biden if he decided to not run in 2024.
Harris spoke out about 2024. Many critics had questioned whether Harris would seek to reelect the President at 79. Bash also asked Harris about statements made by Jim Clyburn, the House Majority Whip, who is a Biden ally and represents South Carolina. Clyburn stated that Harris would lead the ticket if the President does not run.
“Joe Biden is running for reelection, and I will be his ticket mate,” Harris said. “Full stop.”

Here we are two days later and Harris has now issued a rather curious clarification to her original comments according to the Los Angeles Times, which noted that she intentionally sought out reporters on Air Force Two specifically to revise what she’d told Bash earlier this week:
“The president intends to run and if he does, I will be his ticket mate. We will run together,” Harris told a Times reporter Wednesday as she prepared to depart for California aboard Air Force Two.
The reporter was told by advisors that Harris would like to go to the rear of the aircraft to confirm what she had said to CNN Monday.
The L.A. Times also noted that an “in-the-know” Democrat stressed to them that “Harris’ follow-up statement was intended to avoid using ‘trigger words’ that would set off requirements for Biden to establish a formal campaign with the Federal Election Commission and begin fundraising.”
Right. It was.
What happened here is that Harris got over her skis on the question, which she should have been better prepared to answer considering the rampant speculation as to whether Biden will run again and if he doesn’t if she’ll throw her hat into the ring (or if other prominent figures will should Biden bail).
Harris tried to stop speculation but only added fuel to the fire with his definitive comments that made it impossible to consider other interpretations. The big question now is WhyDid she alter her statement?
Even on the most basic of questions – and one that is often asked – she still can’t get it right. This woman remains so poor at what she does that Democrats are going to continue the debate about her qualifications. shouldBe a strong contender to succeed Biden 2024, in case he retires.
Already, the twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has been openly asking for help in a potential 2024 bid depending on how Biden chooses. Expect more to do the same if the rumors grow louder and Harris’ approval ratings remain in the basement.
