Kamala Cackles and Goes Into More Confused Word Salad in Poland – Opinion

Joe Biden avoided dealing with Russia’s allies and instead sent Kamala Harris from Poland.

But I’m not sure that was any better because we’ve already seen how badly Harris handles such things.

Harris and Andrzej duda, Polish President, hosted a press conference Thursday. They discussed a number of subjects, including the Polish MIG-29 fighter aircrafts that Poland would like to hand to Ukraine as part of its defense against Russian invasion. Also, they addressed the problem of Ukrainian refugees.

As we noted on Wednesday, the Biden team has had massive public confusion over the jets — with Secretary of State Antony Blinken greenlighting the plan, then the Pentagon’s spokesperson John Kirby saying it was not “tenable.” Then White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said they were still discussing it and it would be addressed by Harris in Poland. After that, the Pentagon declared again that the agreement was dead. This was embarrassing and made us seem silly. It also left the Ukrainians dry. Exasperated, Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine was filmed criticizing Western leaders in (likely as a jab to Biden) because he had not shown the courage and will to do something.

But Harris’ remarks during the press conference didn’t provide any greater assurance. When asked what the U.S. was going to do to help the situation regarding the refugees, Kamala Harris made a weird remark about “A friend in need is a friend indeed,” and then just started cackling her head off.

Things that you shouldn’t be broadly smiling and laughing about? There are millions upon millions of refugees who flee war and danger. Duda then answered her question. Thank you for your competent and serious answer.

Harris avoided answering questions about the planes when Harris was asked.

‘I want to be very clear, the United States and Poland are united in what we have done and are prepared to do to help Ukraine and the people of Ukraine. Full stop,’ Harris said when she was asked about the lack of movement on a fighter jet deal.

‘In terms of the work the United States has done so far, we have, as you know, given military, humanitarian and security assistance, and that is an ongoing process,’ the vice president continued without addressing the defunct plan to send war planes to Ukraine.

Then she moved into Billy Madison territory. We’ve talked before about her word salads and she was at it again. She even got confused as to which “flank” they were on.

When she was asked if Russia had committed war crimes, her answer was another word salad.

Grabien’s Tom Elliott has it right. We’re not sending our best. Unfortunately, it’s making us look bad before the world and leading to very bad decisions.
