John Durham Secures an Big Victory Against Hillary for America and Fusion GPS – Opinion

John Durham continues his investigation of Hillary Clinton’s proxy Michael Sussmann and delivered big news Wednesday.

Hillary for America and Fusion GPS attempted to interfere in the trial by saying that Durham’s documents were protected by attorney-client privilege. It was laughable, considering Sussmann’s previous denials that he worked for anyone, when he submitted a false Russian conspiracy theory concerning Alfa Bank, Donald Trump and the FBI.

Evidence also supports Fusion GPS’s admission that Sussmann was hired by them to conduct political research and not offer legal advice. Leslie McAdoo Gordon shared an excellent post via social media which perfectly describes the situation.

Latham (for Sussman): “He wasn’t acting on behalf of those two clients!”

Durham: “Judge, we’d like to offer these communications into evidence.”

The Clients: “We object! Those communications are covered by attorney-client privilege!”

In short, Durham set a trap, and Sussmann and Hillary’s cronies walked right into it. The prosecution has won a major initial victory with the decision on the documents.

Durham’s motion for compel was granted.

Techno Fog, an avid observer who is also an expert in all matters involving Hillary Clinton or Fusion GPS claims that this basically means Durham. WillTake the documents. We already know that they aren’t covered under attorney-client privilege because it is an obvious falsehood to state that Sussmann was simply providing legal advice. Hillary for America, in fact, settled with the government on another matter admitting this. Durham and his colleagues will have access to these documents which will show the real arrangement. This is an excellent development.

Then what? There will be more pain as the special counsel likely uses the data to identify other victims of the Russian collusion hoax. The veil is being lifted, and Hillary’s last-ditch effort to scuttle Durham’s important work has failed. Pretty soon, we’ll know all about who was paid what and exactly how coordinated the effort to frame Donald Trump and weaponize the FBI was.

It is not clear if anyone within the government will have to pay, but I doubt it. The system has been set up to defend the system. Although the FBI/DOJ actions may have been very bad, they might not have violated any laws. But, people like Sussmann, who tried to deceive the FBI to harm Trump, certainly seem to have done it. They will now be the fallen guys. Hillary will likely remain inextricably linked to powerful Democrats, which is why she won’t be touched.

The investigation continues to produce results, so there is reason for optimism that at least some justice might be found here. It won’t be what Trump and Republicans deserve after the travesty that transpired over 2016-2017, but it will be better than nothing.
