RedState reports that Joe Biden officially gave up on COVID-19. No, that’s not right-wing spin. Instead, the president essentially admitted there was no federal cure for the coronavirus and stated that solutions would be found at the state level.
For many of us, it was a major “I told you so” moment going back not just months, but all the way back to spring of 2020 when it already appeared likely that you weren’t going to control the spread of the virus. Yet, we’ve been playing a ridiculous game of mandates and lockdowns ever since, with some coming from the federal government. Omicron taking control, cases were exploding, and the White House realized it was time for blame to be placed on government officials.
The internet can be forever and Biden’s past statements, as well as those of his Chief of Staff, are leading to embarrassment. Take a look at this outrageous statement by Ronald Klain in the 2020 election.
Since March I have said that COVID can not be beat with an “Articles of Confederation” answer. For a reason, we have a federal government. Donald Trump may not use it in his fight against this deadly disease. I have a friend who will. He starts on January 20th 21st. https://t.co/8yb3vTa8na

I wouldn’t have bothered to write this post simply to dunk on Klain and Biden being dumb. Okay, I might have. It’s a great way to have a good time.
Past that, what it shows is that Biden’s 2020 campaign was a complete scam. All they claimed has not been fulfilled, with the most obvious example being their COVID-19 promises. Trump is constantly being criticized as if Biden has a magic solution. They didn’t have a plan. Instead, they only had mindless bluster, and today, that big lie was good and fully exposed with Biden himself admitting the federal government can’t fix this.
With that said, the White House doesn’t get to just throw their hands up and act as if they weren’t saying the opposite all year. Remember, the administration has repeatedly touted the federal government response, even telling governors such as Ron DeSantis to “get out of the way.” Now that it’s convenient, Biden wants to throw it all at the feet of the states, though. While it may have been the correct move, the president arrived in that situation kicking and screaming. For his obvious attempt to avoid responsibility, he gets zero credit.
No, this is the man who told us he was going to “shut down the virus.” No one forced Biden to claim Donald Trump was personally responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths or that he and he alone had the ability to tame COVID. He made that choice and now lives up to the standards he established. On his watch, more people died from coronavirus. He did not shut down the virus, and now he’s riding off to Delaware for the 31st time since taking office as if people won’t notice.
We are able to see that 2022 is still in our future.
