It is a joy to see a political partisan admit what the opposition long believed was true. It happened while Jill Biden Ed.D., the super-doctor extraordinaire, spoke to Randi Weingarten, head of American Federation of Teachers.
Yes, that would be the same Randi Weingarten that helped ensure schools stayed closed all over the country for over a year due to “risks” from COVID–even though data continually showed they were safe. All the rest went back to work, while teachers were left at home and sucked up taxpayer funds. Teachers demanded payoffs for their return to teaching. Sometimes, teachers unions refused to cooperate with their employers, as was the case in Chicago.
One common thread emerged from this terrible time was the selfishness and neglect of teachers unions, as well as their White House supporters, who put children first every step of that process. Jill Biden acknowledged that Republicans had been right on this front while addressing the AFT.

Not to be too dramatic, but it’s just sick and twisted to watch these privileged union hacks, including Jill Biden, lavish praise on one another while ignoring the objectively awful outcomes they helped bring about for children across the nation. My colleague Bob Hoge pointed out that learning loss from COVID was real, and that it was catastrophic. He also noted that left-wing media outlets such as The Atlantic and The New York Times had recently admitted that fact.
It wasn’t about the children, as Jill Biden acknowledged Friday. It was all about the American Federation of Teachers. It was about getting a bunch of spoiled, lazy teachers and their union bosses a year of paid vacation–while they held millions of children hostage with no care for what that would lead to. These people shouldn’t be lauded, they should be condemned for their gross attempts at extortion.
Weingarten is childless, makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, and could not care less about the pain and suffering she’s caused. She sees this as a game and puts her own interests and those who pay her dues above the children’s lives. Jill Biden only confirms the things we already know.
Fortunately the Democrat monopoly over the education sector is waning. This means that they cannot continue to pretend that they care for children while prioritizing enrichment and empowerment through abusive teacher unions. Parents have figured out the game, and it’s put Democrats on the defensive for the first time since education became unionized. Joe Biden was given the opportunity to choose between two options for the White House. The choice was between the children and the teachers’ unions. They chose to join the unions. Now, the political consequences will be theirs.
