High School Biology Class Tells Kids Biological Sex Is a Social Construct – Opinion

If you don’t know what sex means, it is part of a social construct. Massachusetts’ Needham High School says so.

If you’ve been under the impression that there are only two sexes, you’ve been duped by the anti-scientific word on the street. Ditch your social conditioning, and it’s a whole new physical world.

“Humans are socially conditioned to view sex and gender as binary,” one of several slidesParents Defending Education gives clear instructions to children.

This lesson was apparently taught to biology students.

For those unfamiliar with the term “intersex,” PEDIAA has the 411:

There is a major difference between intersex and hermaphrodite. Intersex has an organism that can possess both types gonads and hermaphrodite an organism with a variety of sexual characteristics, such as chromosomes and gonads.

Intersexuality is a common trait. Needham High suggests thinking about hair color.

Intersex people represent just under 2% of the population — a comparable percentage to people born with red hair.

These are the things you shouldn’t do.

Intersex persons have long been discriminated against and are marginalized by mentioning only biological sex, male or female.

A sex-specific language would be inappropriate given the human sexuality potluck, biologically speaking.

Language that does not use gendered terms when talking about bodies is a way to make sure people of diverse sexualities and genders (a.genders) are respected and included.

The course also schooled teens on four sectors of sex, laying out living’s extrication from hanging:

Anatomical Sex

Sometimes called anatomical or biological sex (or physical sex), sexuality is made up of things like the genitals and chromosomes. Hormones, body hair, as well as hormones. But one thing it’s not: gender.

Gender identity

How you perceive yourself psychologically. Who you, in your head, know yourself to be, based on how much you align (or don’t align) with what you understand to be the options for gender.

Gender Expression

How you portray gender through your clothes and demeanor. Your outward-facing self, and how that’s interpreted by others based on gender morns.

Attraction

Like sex, attraction isn’t really a component of gender. However, many people confuse sexual orientation with gender and categorize attraction in gendered ways.

It’s certainly different than the pedagogy of the past — your biology curriculum in school probably didn’t even mention feelings.

The days of nuclei and peptides and boys and girls are gone. Education — like, possibly, your gender — is in transition.

They also informed the young brains that there are other species which can switch:

Clownfish

Clownfish schools are always organized into a hierarchy, with the female at the top. After she is gone, the dominant male will take her place.

Common Reed Frog

There is evidence that common reedfrogs are a sequential hermaphrodite. This means the adult sexes switch after mating. However, this particular frog has no evidence.

Amborella

New scientific research shows that plants with certain breeding systems change the way they sex according to how much sunlight is received.

They were also required to conduct research.

Do group research

Seek out your natural example of gender flexibility.

As far as I know, there has been a significant shift in how schooling is perceived over the years. It seems that traditional academic subjects are merely used as background material for ideology dissemination.

Needham High’s instruction on sex may come as a surprise to many from the old school. Just goes to prove: Learning is never a stop.

Thankfully, our national leaders aren’t tethered to the time gone by. Biologically, they’re admirably keeping abreast:
