On Monday, a gunman attempted to assassinate the candidate for Louisville mayor, Kentucky. The activist media is not interested in this case. We can see why the activist media is not interested in this case by a cursory glance.
Shortly after 10 am, a man entered the office of Craig Greenberg, a Democrat who is running to become the city’s next mayor. Soon after entering the building, an assailant shot four shots at Greenberg with his Glock before fleeing.
Greenberg spoke at a press conference about the attack.
“The gunman stood in the doorway as he fired the shots and one of my teammates was standing to the side of the door and was able to get the door slammed and then he and other teammates that were closer to the door just threw tables and desks to barricade us in.”
Quintez brown, a 21 year-old male of black descent, was captured by police shortly thereafter. The charges against Quintez Brown include attempted murder, four counts of wanton danger and one count each. He is also running for a seat in the City Council. Evidently, his ideas for winning votes are flawed.
For activists media, the fact that Brown was a black man is sufficient to make it seem like this never occurred. But a closer look into his background provides even more of a reason for the press to place their fingers in their years and yell “lalalalala!”
Fox News reports that the suspect was popularly associated with Black Lives Matter Louisville.
Brown was prominently involved in Black Lives Matter and Defund Police Unrests following George Floyd’s May 2020 death.
In July 2020, as a student at the University of Louisville, Brown was honored by the Obama Foundation’s MBK Rising initiative and was one of only a handful of students in the country to attend the inaugural national gathering of the Obama Foundation’s My Brother’s Keeper Alliance.
He is an outspoken supporter of gun control, and has criticised those who are in favor of the Second Amendment. He also supported defunding of police departments and other left-leaning initiatives. On Tuesday, he pleaded not guilty to his charges.
Now, just imagine what would happen if a MAGA hat-wearing, QAnon-obsessed white man had waltzed into a politician’s office with a Glock and attempted to ventilate them? The reaction of the activists media is well known. We know exactly how the activist media will react to this story. They’d cover it wall-to-wall and then use it to prove that white supremacy is going down. Of course, the entire situation would be former President Donald Trump’s fault, and everyone who follows him should be blamed for the tragedy.
Black Lives Matter is under increased scrutiny due to its leaders getting too funny about the money. The group has been consistently criticized by the mothers of black men shot and killed by police for exploiting their sons’ deaths. It is now that one of the group’s members will go crazy and attempt to assassinate an elected official.
Since the mainstream activist media’s role is to protect the progressive agenda at all costs, it would do them no good to give this story any serious attention. Only 6% of the news media outlets are currently reporting on this story. The Washington PostThe Daily Beast and John Durham have reported on it. Others are not interested in the matter, acting like John Durham investigators. These people are not what one would expect.
