From Waukesha to San Fran: Why Did Morning Joe Suddenly Go Law & Order?

How does a liberal media outlet work? Morning Joe Sounding law-‘n order on Tuesday? From Joe Scarborough to Willie Geist to—yes!—even Al Sharpton, there was unanimous condemnation of “progressives,” “permissive” prosecutors, and “latte liberals” for their soft-on-crime philosophy.

This panel strongly condemned Darrell Brooks’ release in Waukesha (Wisconsin) on the basis of his low bail. He was released just eleven days after allegedly killing five people and injuring scores more.

Similar outrage was expressed by the panel for lax polices in San Francisco. The refusal to prosecute thieves led to looting and “smash-and-grab” crime, as the current terminology calls it. Scarborough laughed at London Breed, the San Francisco mayor, suddenly condemning this lawlessness after having tolerated it for many years.

Sharpton stated in a striking way that “real racism” does not hold people accountable for their crimesThey believe they lack the mentality or ability to perform other than brutish acts.

Is there a reason for this torrent of “tough-on-crime” talk on MSNBC’s morning newscast?  We can all agree that some outrage could have been involved.

However, politics are all around. Liberal media are well aware that out-of-control crimes can be damaging for Democrats. Dems don’t fund the police. They don’t prosecute thieves. And in the case Rashida Tlaib’s story, they close all federal prisons after 10 years.

So it’s pretty easy to assume that Morning JoeWas playing defense for the Dems and trying to get a message across to the dominant Left wing of the party to stop supporting policies that could be disastrous in the 2022 elections and beyond.

Morning Joe getting tough on crime from Waukesha to San Francisco was sponsored in part by Liberty Mutual, GoDaddy, and Away.

REPORTER: [Brooks]He was released from jail 11 days ago, after posting a $1,000 bail. The Milwaukee district attorney called this “inappropriately high.”

JOE SCARBOROUGH – Willie: Too low? For domestic abuse and trying to runover the mother of her child, a thousand dollar bail?

. . .

Und no cash bail? That is what a lot on the left love to talk about. Is it possible for people to actually reside in New York City, and still deal with the skyrocketing rate of crime? This was why it was such a big issue for the New York Mayor’s Race.

. . .

WILLIE GEIST – We now want to talk about the West Coast series of smash-and-grab robberies.

. . .

SF MAYOR LONDON BREED People cannot continue to be allowed to move freely around the city. They can commit these acts and then go on their way.

. . .

SCARBOROUGH:It’s not clear what San Franciso mayor is talking to me. This must be stopped! It’s happening since a few years!

. . .

GEIST: The incidents that we are watching over the last two days didn’t fall from the sky. They occur because There is a clear environment where property crimes are not prosecutable in these cities.

. . .

AL SHARPTON This is why latte liberals love it.It has nothing do with being poor, it has nothing do with the fact that you can’t find a job.

. . .

SCARBOROUGH, I am just curious who decided this was the right way to go. Is this progressive thinking?

. . .

SHARPTON – This kind of vile behaviour is not normal and isn’t progressive. It is normal to be like some people or groups or races. It’s okay if you try to put your lady or wife down. Let them have fun. Instead of having one standard that’s fair for everyone, let them go. You will be punished if you do not follow the law, whether it is criminally or non-criminally. This is true racism when people from a particular community or background are expected to act in a way that’s different to someone who is out of control.
