Ex-ABC News President Is Advising Nancy Pelosi’s 1/6 Committee Prime Time ‘Hearings’

CBS and ABC have announced that they will stop summer reruns to provide live coverage for the Democratic-loaded House panel on January 6. Is it really a hearing?

Mike Allen of Axios reports the committed “has turned to a renowned former network news executive to hone a mountain of explosive material into a captivating multimedia presentation for a prime-time hearing Thursday.”

James Goldston — former president of ABC News, And allegedly a “master documentary storyteller” who ran Good Morning America and Nightline — has joined the committee as an unannounced adviser. Goldston grew up in England and went to Oxford before joining ABC alongside Martin Bashir in 2004. In March 2021, he left ABC.

Allen said, “I am told that Goldston is busy producing Thursday’s 8 pm. ET hearing It’s as if the special were an investigative blockbuster.” As part of their attempt to save the midterms, the Democrats are trying to get eyeballs. They pretend to be the Saviors for Democracy.

Imagine if Republicans set up an investigation committee, then appointed a Fox News president to serve as an “unannounced advisor” during prime-time hearings. Liberal outlets will all shout there is absolutely no difference between Fox News and the GOP. Pelosi’s hand-picked panel and ABC and CBS are the same. CNN and CNN also have no differences. ABC News apparently has no concern that Goldston’s advising will hurt the image of ABC News.

CNN explained that “the committee hopes to put on hearings. don’t look like traditional congressional proceedings, and instead are multi-media presentations that weave a narrative outlining the committee’s findings. The committee’s goal is to expose how Trump and his associates created a fake narrative about the election which set the stage for the riot at Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021.

The networks will broadcast this long commercial at no cost to Democrats. The networks might boycott the event if the shoe was on the other side. It’s not live news, but a multi-media blockbuster that weaves a story for one party. 

Allen also added the following preview from the advertisement/hearing 

• The hearing will include both live witnesses as well pre-produced footage.

According to me, the White House has given access to photos from January 6, 2021 that were never seen by the public.

— Only a fraction of the surveillance footage from inside the Capitol — all kinds of angles were captured — has been shown.

Many of the depositions by members of the committee were captured on video. Clips will be available.
